I am assuming that to digitize the "fringed" designs you have to do a certain stitch so that you can clip the design for the fringe. It looks like a satin stitich to me. Does anyone know?

Oop, missed this the first time around! Let us know how the 'fringe' digitizing goes, ok? I wouldn't mind trying that, I have an idea, but it could take forever the way I want to do it. Hugs, Marji

Dear Deborah, beneath is the link about the fringing designs. I don't know if it will help with the digitising side of things though, but I hope it helps you a little bit.

Love and blessings Chris

Thanks Chris. Yes I did copy and save these directions. LOL! I only have 57 pages worth of hints like these that I have saved in a file from everyone. It wasn't until I actually stitched out one of Veronica's designs that I understood how to do it. Looks simple enough. Will give it a try.

As was already answered, it is a wide satin stitch that is then anchored on the end that is not loose. However, be sure that you don't try to do too long of a stitch because some software/machines will just skip over stitches that are too long. Unfortunately, I am not sure exactly what IS too long, but I know that it happens. Good luck with your "fringed" adventures!

Thanks cutiepie! Knowing my luck I will be able to tell you "what to long means". hahahaha

Thank you for asking this. I was curious how it was done. Hope you have good luck doing it.

it is a wide satin stitch, but it is anchored with triple or bean stitch to hold one edge of it in place.
