I love also the thead from Metro, good price. But I do not take care of the numbers, I look only for the colours of the thread on my cloth, it is so pleasant to choose the good colour before embroider

Claude, where do you buy your Metro, buying it from their site means very high postage costs.

even with the postage cost, it was cheaper than in France

Don't get hung up on the numbers, etc. unless you're doing one of those complicated "windows" that use 45 colors and shades. Just pick out the colors you like, line em up, and sew it out! Work with that download a little bit, too, you should be able to use it to get close to colors. Good luck, Marji

I decided to put my spools in baggies. All shades of green, all shades of blue, etc. Works great that way. Thanks for your comment. Flowers to you

I never use the numbers, I just lay the colors out and pick the ones I like.

I agree, I love it also. I have purchased all their colors! They do have a thread conversion program you can download, I haven't used it yet....I also printed from the site a list of all the colors with their numbers and names.

Thank you for the info. I installed their program, but I could not figure it out. So I did the next best thing, I emailed them and asked if they would email me a chart. Hope they do. Again, thank you so much

you can also purchase a thread color chart from them - with the actual thread swatch - it might help in the color process.
