First & Last drink of the day is water (to hopfully help with cleaning the kidneys) then Coffee & when the craving sets in a can of Solo. Water inbetween times. Now & then I will make a pot of tea (not bags) in my silver service and use the bone china cup my grandmother gave to me for my 21 (such a long time ago) milk (in first) & sugar of course, it is the best way to drink tea.

That would be so neat. I'll bet the tea set and china are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.

I'm one of those rare (?) people who don't like coffee - never have. Not much of a tea drinker, either. However, hand me a Coke (not a pepsi, thank you) and that's my drink of choice. Oh, and let's not even get me started on the topic of chocolate - LOL!

I live off of black coffee and Key-Lime Water. I usually drink at least 1 V-8 Juice a day because I eat very little. If I have a bowl of cereal with a banana at breakfast I only use enough milk to wet the cereal and then leave the milk in the bowl. Linda

memasanders by memasanders 27 Apr 2009

I've been hearing alot of Keylime water. I'm gonna have to try that. The V-8 is a good thing I make vegtable soup with it, it really gives it alot of flavor. Thanks for answering

I normally drink tea with milk and sacharine, tea has to be strong enough to stand the spoon up in, (well pretty close to anyway) LOL! I can't have sugar of any kind as it gives me migraines. My cold drink of choice is Pepsi-Max and I usually drink lots of filtered water.

But since having chemo I can't bear the thought of tea or water and I'm nausious enough without drinking my PepsiMax. So, for the first two weeks after a treatment, I've had to switch over to Unsweetened Soy milk and Ginger Beer or Dry Ginger Ale and I'm eating pounds of sweet green grapes to supplement my fluid intake. I'm also allergic to milk, hence the Soy.

I also LOVE iced coffee and if you'd like to try my recipe:

I make one strong serve of coffee (as if making a cappucino), sweeten with two teaspoons sugar & pour into a highball glass, then add icy cold milk, almost to the top, a goodly scoop of vanilla Ice-cream and then top it off with whipped cream (pressure pack canned type is OK)
Delightfully Decadent! Of course I use all soy products & sacharine but it's still to die for.
hugs n roses, Meganne

Gosh Meg it's a wonder you're not the size of a house with all that ice cream and whipped cream. Glad to see you at least have soy and sacharine!!!!! that of course makes it a diet drink - doesn't it? He he he he!!!! Love Chris (you know I'm only joking here, don't you?)

memasanders by memasanders 27 Apr 2009

I love it!!!!!! Tried it LOVE it !!!!!!I knew we had alot in common. The olny difference I drizzeled alittle chocolate syrup over the top. (I needed a fix) hehehe

meganne by meganne 28 Apr 2009

LOL! Yes it's a real treat, i used to make them when I worked in restaurants, became reknowned for my coffees, all types.
I actually can't have the cream or ice-cream since diagnosed with milk allergy, but I make them for Ray and MIL and they really enjoy them.
I love chocolate but it gives me migraines. :-(
If you liked the iced coffee, try making iced chocolate exactly the same way but use a goodly amount of choc syrup in place of the coffee and sprinkle with choc sprinkles or powdered sweet drinking chocolate.
Also Decadent!!!!!
Yes i used to drink them all before my milk allergy was recognised. :-(
hugs n roses, M

Have you ever tried Constant Comment Tea? I add just a touch of honey. It's wonderful, hot, on these cool, rainy days. In the summer, I drink it on ice with a touch of fresh lemon. I also try to drink lots of water.***

I like Coke because of the fizz and the bite of a great Coke.

Another great drink...find the fizzy water in the grocery store...the ones with only fizz and no chemicals (like fake sweeteners), fill a glass with mostly crushed ice, one half of a key lime juiced (the little cute limes, they are sweeter) and fill with fizzy water...WOW !!...you may add more lime to suit your taste. I find the thirstier I am the more lime I want. This also works great with lemon juice or any strong flavor juice and is refreshing...hardly any calories! It is a good alternative to those sweet drinks that only make you thirstier and as an added bonus, the lime or lemon puts a smidge of Vitamin C into your system.

Water, water and more water (2-4litres per day) for me. I dislike tea (ok an occasional peach ice tea is the exception), hate hot chocolate (despite being a chocoholic) and loathe anything to do with coffee. If I want something different or am eating out I usually opt for unsweetened apple or pineapple juice. I guess I'm pretty boring healthy in my drinking.

Ronny, you sure got the attention of a few of us - didn't you? Hehehe! I drink lots of water most of the day and night - but I like to have a very large rasberry tea to sip on - the rest of the time. I enjoy any of the herbal teas - hot or cold. Peach is one of my favorites, too. When I was very young my paternal grandmother used to make us a hot cup of tea and she put milk and sugar in it and I do believe that was when I learned to love tea so much - I have never been a coffee drinker and have to leave the soda and cola's alone. *4U

Will put the powered packets in one of my water bottles, and have it done for me then. My daughter bought me a green tea while we were out a coule weeks ago, and it was call luscious peach, but sure can't find it any where around here. But, boy it was good.
