I had read there was a way to fool your machine into thinking that it was sewing with a mega hoop. I don't remember where it was.

Not that I know of, Tyco. No matter how large the hoop, your FIELD is still whatever size it is. If you split the designs, you can do them in two hoopings, but then you have to align them properly. The Janome gigahoop still splits the designs, because the field size is 5x7, but the advantage is you don't have to rehoop, it just sews out both parts of the split design in the same hoop. But it still looks like 2 designs on the machine, because of the field size. Make any sense? What kind of machine do you have, perhaps others with that machine can help you more. Hugs, Marji

tyco, What sewing machine do you use. Maybe someone with the same type of machine could help you. Hope you get your answer. I have a brother Innovis, I do not think you can fool it. (maybe I am just not smart enough to fool it!) Good luck. Sue

My brother machine is only a 4x4 field even tho they do sell a larger hoop for it (for split designs), it will still only accept a 4x4 design. My pfaff detects the hoop after I make a design selection so no way I can "fool" either machine lol. Hope you get an answer*
