the rar extension is a zip format, but if you have embird, it will unzip rar as well as unzip regular zip files. Just double click on the rar file and it will open. I then click on the embroidery file inside and I can then go to editor and save in whateve

I agree wholeheartedly barba Embird is a fantastic program. Have been using it since 2000 and have never been disappointed in it's performance...

I then click on the embroidery file inside and I can then go to editor and save in whatever embroidery format I choose. No problems at all. Embird is a fabulous program. Does just about everything. Hope this helps some of you struggling with this strange file extension.
