I'm new to embroidery. I have a design in art format, but I can't seem to convert it to jef with my Tijama Ambassador. I also have Wilcom Trusizer, but don't know how to use it. Can anyone help?

I use jef format also. Sometimes you have to convert to pes and save. Then convert the pes design to jef. That works 99% of the time. Good luck.

Ahhh, ART. I don't think Bernina wants you to be able to convert their designs. During my famous (or infamous) battle with the free kitty purse given in ART, I learned this: Bernina software and Janome software (I have Janome 300E) are both written by Wilcom. The Wilcom contract with each company makes them exclusive. That is, the Bernina software can't convert to or read JEF, and the Janome software can't convert to or read ART. I don't think your problem is with your Tajima program, or Wilcom truesizer, either. I tried to convert that blasted kitty purse with Tajima, and it wouldn't open it. The only way I got it done was by another person who downloaded it who has the Bernina software, and converted it to PES for me. I could then convert the PES to JEF with the Janome software. Luckily, my dealer sells both Bernina and Janome, and has all the software, but it's a whopping lot of trouble for the design. Guess it depends on how badly you want it. If it's something you can't live without, see if there is someone with Bernina software you can send it to and they will convert it for you. I don't know any other way to do it. I can't seem to get the Tajima Ambassador to change the art files to my VIP format directly, but can get it to save in XXX format, and then my Pfaff 3D software will change the XXX format into my VIP format. I found this by trial and error.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will try to keep this in mind when I run across the problem in the future. But, in this instance, I think the file was corrupt.

step 1 open true sizer step 2 click on file where it says open find the file u need to open click on it to open it step 3 click save as and save to your format hope that helps some
