I completly agree about not giving out member links but the ice cookie font is being given away to the public on 2 different sites, maybe one of those is what was given out.

In my defence with regard to the Teddy Bear Alpha! I Do NOT give the ACTUAL link but tell everyone that the new letters are AT the Yahoo Group and give the Yahoo Group Link - You HAVE to be a MEMBER to be able to DL so in order to DL you HAVE to JOIN the Group! The ONLY way to be able to get those Letters AND any other YAHOO GROUP site freebies that I post about!
SO in actual fact.... I am ADVERTISING for that Person - THEY win in the end as they end up with MORE members who sign up to their Groups!
Re the Ice Cookie Alpha - I also thought that this was posted for The General Public to see and did not think that there was anything wrong with posting the link! Everyone DL'g the Free Letters has to VIEW the SET on sale in any case to get to the Free Letters so they get to see the Digitizer's website offerings at the same time too - so as far as I can see no one loses!
I for one has seen some GREAT designs that I have on my wish list!!
Just wanted to add my thoughts on this subject!

You need to change your group settings. You probably have it on "individual email". Try setting it for "daily digest" or "special notices" which sends you only important info from the moderator.
9042Personally, I joined the yahoo groups for the models that interest me (ice cookie and teddy bear alpha). Thus, no problem !

I suppose I joined up but never got any-place but where the purple teddy was. I was wanting the teddy fonts.I'm not real smart at all this stuff.But I guess I was smart enough to get joined.But don't know what to do now.

114360Didn't mean to get up on a band wagon. But i belong to the yahoo group where the ice cookies are given out. And she has told us repeatedly not to share the links. That is the only reason why i said anything.
1136I don't post links from my groups. It is nice to get the reminders though. I am on digest threw my groups and sometimes I forget about the download for the day and do not receive it until it's to late, so it is nice to get reminders here. I do believe in respecting the digitizers rules. *4U
17461The iced cookie alpha is available on the web site for everyone so sharing the link shouldn't be an issue. I don't know anything about the teddy bear alpha or the site it belongs to. There are several sites that state YOU must belong to their group or register on the site to receive the freebies. We should all be careful and abide by the digitizers requests. *4U
12985I am not sure about that cookie. I went to the site via the Artistic Thread Works newsletter ads & have been downloading from there. The ads are open to the public & all the cookie's are there to be download. Would that be there if it was a Yahoo group?? In fact, it's on the newsletter for today, 25th.
35675Thanks I tried to sign in on the teddy fonts with no success but now everytime I go to my mail I'm loaded down with all kinds of E-mail from that site but none of lt concerns me.I don't know how to get rid of all the junk mail that doesn't concern me at all. Plus I never was able to get a teddy font.

All you have to do is join the group when you go to the site it will ask if you want to join just click where it says and join.I's open to everyone who wants to as far as I know.

yes it is open to everyone. the amount of emails sounds like you did join and your settings are on individual go to the group page and edit your prefrences to digest then you only get about 1 a day maybe 2
