YES it's a real virus! DELETE it completely not just to your rubbish bin.
A quick way to delete (from a closed email
select the email, but do not open it; hold down the CTRL key and press the delete key; it should ask if you wish to permanently delete the email; say yes!

Treat it with respect and double check your deleted items and rubbish bin. Then do a full virus scan of your whole pc.
You cannot be too careful!
