I check both e-mails several times a day. Some sites want your actual home address, and can use this to look up other information. When they get my business address, and sell this information, I can get a lot of e-mail here. It is hard to find important business information when this happens, and you get junk mail at home too. I now avoid these sites. Have others had this problem? I also avoid many on-line purchases for this reason.

I get everything that is sent to @grannyo.com. You should see some of the names. So, I get in excess of 500 emails a day. None of them have any relation to my activities. grannyo.com seems to be a popular mark. Anyway, I've had this for a long, long time and I'm going to keep it. As time goes by, it has gotten more popular and spam has become more popular. It is amazing what total strangers do know out there. They know where I live plus they know my SSNA and I have never put that out on the web. I do almost all of my purchases online. It is difficult to move around in a lot of stores in my chair. Especially, craft stores. Their asiles are so skinny. Getting around bolts of fabric gets really rough. I do most of my shopping using PayPal, I feel safe with them.

Thanks for your comment. I really appreciate what you have to say. It is amazing how people get the information that they do. I hope you have not had any problems because of this.

I am on a lot of newsletter list for embroidery sites. So far, I have not had any trouble with junk mail or email. I like the newsletter idea because they let you know about sales and new freebies.

How can you make a purchase, and not have them get personal information?

relow26, I don't seem to have much trouble with actual junk mail from something that I have signed up for online or purchased. *4U

Part of the price of convience, I'm afraid. I do get a little revenge with mailed junk. If it has a prepaid return envelope, I just load it all back in it and mail it right back to them, including the original envelope they sent it in!

I just love it, good idea!!!! Always thought you were the type to not let others take advantage of you, which is great. We should do what is necessary to stand-up for what is right!
