Update: I am now finished with radiation and chemotherapy. The Oncologist said he would be following me every 3 months x 2 yrs. I would get a CT scan for using as a baseline and he wants to leave my Port in for the 2 yr. duration. I had to wear some apparatus that injects med in my stomach to try to get my bloodwork--white, red blood cells up. Very low. Will get that ck'd on Thurs. the 25th. Glad I don't have to travel and spend the day doing all this stuff but thankful for it.

Celebration time for sure. Few annoyances along the way, but way better than what was. Love, prayers and good thoughts go out to you.

That is great news! I also need to be checked every 3 months for two years. Mine is squamous cell carcinoma in my bladder. Hang in there! We can do this. God bless you, Jan

So glad to hear that good news. I know how my husband felt when he had completed his radiation and the final chemo drug. Wishing you the best, and try to rest, eat, and get your blood count up. Cyber Hugs.

Yippee!!! We are all celebrating with you. I like graceandham’s suggestion of finding 100 ways to celebrate. Be patient with your blood levels. Mine are still inching up. Continue to rest when you can and eat and drink what tastes good to build back your strength. Happy dance together.

You're allowed to be grateful and thankful to be done with it at the same time. Good for you! Make a list of 100 little ways to celebrate!
