Ok today a new day! I need feedback if anyone has a sodastream system and how they like it. Since I am aspirating every thing by mouth, I am doing swallowing exerises to improve that muscle and to keep from getting pneumonia as I am fighting getting a feeding tube for now anyway.....so we want to make tasty carbonated drink to flavor my ice chips....also need to get a strong smoothie maker but want it to have small footprint on the counter... not asking for much, huh? Am swallowing 14 meds twice a day and Jim told them he will need explicit instructions for meds...have to put pills in applesauce to get it down.... love to you all!! ❀️

Rob has been using a Nutri-bullet for years. It has 2 sizes of containers which is nice. It’s for smoothies so a small footprint on the counter. Keep fighting for as much normalcy as you can manage. But better a feeding tube than aspiration pneumonia in my book when and if you need it. You have me beat on the number of daily pills. And praise God for applesauce.

We have a "Bullet" that Mike used for his protein shakes. Now he uses it for shakes. It's just a large serving. It was good for making drinks when he was unable to swallow solids. I have no experience with sodastream systems. Sending gentle hugs and prayers for better days soon.

Love my SodaStream. I prefer to add just a small amount of lemon or lime juice to my water. Also look at BlendJet for making your smoothies. It is small and easy to clean. Hugs to you. Happy Thanksgiving. Nan

Hi, I've had a Sodastream with glass bottles for a few years now and I'm very happy with it. We have good drinking water and I can regulate the carbonation as I like it, there are matching syrups (also goes in ice cubes) . recently there are also carbonated bottles "with flavor" I have not tried yet . I keep my fingers crossed that your many tablets help, hugs Maria

Hi Vicki, I am so sorry that you are going through this. I wish you well. I used a Soda Stream for many years and had no problem with it. I know that there are newer models to the one I had, and they take a different Carbon dioxide cylinder. We used to swap our used cylinder for a new one at the checkout at the supermarket. I am not sure where you would get yours. But as I said, we were really happy with ours. You might just have to experiment with the force that you use to push the button or lever in order to get the correct amount of bubbles to suite your personal preference.

Holding you and Jim close in thought and prayer. I use an Oster food processor to make smoothies. It's small but powerful; yet not expensive. I use frozen fruit and french vanilla yogurt. Sometimes I add a little sweetener. Sorry I'm not familiar with the sodasteam system. Sending you both a huge dose of love. I wish you both the very best.
