Hi Cuties, I forgot Thursday was sewing day . Scheila and Sharon are our leaders-

When I didn’t show by almost noon, Scheila called- said she had cleaned out more in her sewing room and brought to give- of course the others had already took what they wanted (😩she usually has good quality fabrics and pretty too) she asked if I’d like the rest she would put it in OUR closet at church they provide for us until I could pick up- I said that would be fine.

Then she calls right back- Sharon had wanted her to tell me she had 3 of my 6 quilts done for me to pick up, too

Hubby said to tell them we would just go then and pick everything up.
So here are items I made with 2 pieces of unwanted fabrics.

It just cost me webbing, 5 zippers, ribbons for 2, and lining for the 2 smallest which everything was already in my stash.
All the solid pink linings are like the smaller outer 2 bags, except I used the flowered fabric for lining on those two.
It felt good to sew something as I haven’t touched my machines in well over a week. ❤️Toogie

Toogie you are a fine seamstress. Love all the things I've ever seen you make. I love those Toogie tags too. Nice to be given things. I didn't get a chance to look much at what came into our extension office where my sew club is--I did see some lining I told our leader I wanted and some faux fur pieces. She went up there to arrange and also get rid of some. We were going to make charity dresses and shorts but a lot of other stuff besides cotton she threw out. I'm crying to myself.

I hate to hear of any fabric thrown. Someone can always make something with it. I’d be crying too. Thanks for your comment. I do like to sew and do try to sew well.

Beautiful work, Toogie. It's a great feeling to see what you've done, isn't it. Especially when it is fabric you are given.

Yes, thank you, it is very rewarding to see a finished project. I shared these pictures with Scheila and she said she was happy to see someone actually use the fabrics they were given.

Thanks that is almost how I feel, making something with just a flat piece of fabric.
