Cuties, I have just read the obituary of my fifth grade Sunday School teacher. She was 100 years old plus three days and she did celebrate her birthday before leaving us. Here's my summary of how to live to be 100, if it's not too late for the rest of us: Marry well (a doctor), raise six children, teach Sunday School for decades, sing in the choir (good for the lungs and heart), go on mission trips, shower your friends and acquaintances with your handicrafts, and enjoy your grandchildren!

One personal memory, a Sunday she was not singing in the choir, nor teaching Sunday School. She got all six children fed and dressed for church and sent them to church with their daddy, then got herself ready. She came sliding into church at the first chord of the first hymn and in a stage whisper, "shouted" Move! while gesturing wildly with her hands. In one movement the daddy, all six kids and two grandparents stood and slid over and were seated again, only to rise again for the hymn. I think she had a bit of the Drill Sergeant in her!

You brought a smile to my lips and my heart with this wonderful testimony. I think you learned a lot of your habits from her, except for the drill sergeant ways.

Oh, I don't know about that. You know I raised boys.
