Hi again Cuties! I decided after making all those gifts in Projects, that I need a water bottle carrier too. So I spent all afternoon piecing these scraps together and quilting a grid before making it. The smallest pieces are an almost square finish at 1/2 inch . The black white to the left of the 1/2 in ruler. The other is solid black at 3/8 in x 1 1/8. Now you know why it took me so long today. These scraps were leftovers from my Papa’s Delight quilt. We all need to keep hydrated in these hot temperatures so this will remind me to drink more water. I also put insulbright to insulate, instead of batting, so hopefully it will keep the water colder longer.

Thanks for looking at my post❤️Toogie

Wow, what a great idea! Not only do you have the skill, but you have great patience too. Still putzing with my #1 quilt. I need to get back on track and be productive. So far I like the results and just bought backing. Are you finished with the trip gifts? Just saw your previous post, CONGRATULATIONS on completing the gifts!

Thanks, I’m still picking up in my seeing room-lol maybe you’ll finish your quilt before I finish my room.😉

Isn’t it such a good feeling to use up all those little pieces that were too small for a whole project, but you couldn’t bear to part with. It’s amazing you had enough black & white scraps to put this together. But, that doesn’t surprise me, with all the sewing you! You did a wonderful job piecing this cover.

You know, as long as I have been sewing, it's still rewarding or satisfying, to see how you can take a piece of fabric, or many pieces as in this case, and make something out of it. I guess that's why I love to sew. I'm glad you understand that feeling too. Thanks

It is worth the hours you spent putting these scraps together. it looks like a mosaic design. Keep hydrated and cool.

I stay in the AC mostly so don't get too hot. We need limbs trimmed outside, but we need a cooler day to do it. Then I guess we will both be down in our backs. Oh my. Some are hard to mow under and one is hanging over the road that he says the mail carrier passes under. Hub says it probably touches the top of her truck so we really need that one cut. It's bad to be unable to do the things you use to do or need to do now. The kids are so busy with work and their own things. Ashley did say they need to have a work day over here but when, I don't know.... Anyway, I'm enjoying the bright sunshine looking out from my AC rooms-lol

You know I read how to size your own carrier bc my intention too is to make one for my 'My Buddy' glass. It's like the 'Yeti".
I carry it on trips with me. I can leave the hotel that morning with ice in it and a beverage and my ice stays all day. I have to refill it sometimes with water or whatever but the ice keeps it cold a good 24 hours. If I make one to just carrier it I won't have to use any insulbright.
