Hi Everyone I just wanted to give you an update on Toey the cat with the abscess. He had surgery again. The vet opened his head again . He has a cut from back to front and side to side near his eye brows.

The vet cleaned out the abscess again and found a foreign body in there. He said it looked like a piece of twig.
The lab report came back he does have MRSR. Doc ordered a new drug for him but as of yesterday it was not in yet. This makes over three weeks that The cat has been at the vets. The vet said Toey is still eating and purring away not complaining at all. He has IV and topical infusions of gentamycin until the new drug comes in.
This poor boy is still fighting hard I feel so bad for him and I am still worried. He is not out of the woods yet.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully the twig was the source of the infection and now that it is removed all that nasty mess will clear up. More prayers for the dear boy.

I'm glad you gave this update for our Cute animal lovers. You know my prayers have been going up for him, for Remi and for Sushi too. And rest and recouperation for you and Dave too.

I am praying Toey is hanging in there. I had to bring our cat (long time ago) a couple of times to the vet, because a burr or something had gotten up her nose. Apparently if not removed it can travel to the brain. I hope after the removal of the foreign object Toey is on the way to recovery.
