The water repellent I use on the back of coasters is called Peck Cloth. I have made coasters, ornaments, bags, repair BBQ cover, check book cover and more. I have been pleased when I embroidery on it. Peck Cloth is available on line and in some fabric stores.

Fabric.com states: This 420 Denier woven nylon fabric features a DWR finish (Durable Water Repellent) coating. Pliable and lightweight, this light but sturdy fabric is perfect for utility bags, liners, rain coats, shower curtains, and sporting goods. Hugs and flowers to all, Suzanna

Never heard heard of it. Is it "water reppelent" or "water proof" or interchangeable products?

Thank you again Suzanna, for this post. I did a google search for 420 Denier and Pack Cloth came up. Fabric.com has it in black. also, Seattle Fabrics has a variety (including 420 Denier) of water repellent and waterproof fabric of different weights and colors. Samples may be ordered
at a reasonable price.

Yes Pack cloth, not sure why my local fabric store labels it as Peck.

Suzanna, thank you for posting this information, but when searching for Peck Cloth on Fabric.com only 70 denier nylon was shown. If you could give more information or a link to find this cloth, it will be very much appreciated.
