Oh Vicki, Any surgery involving the nose is so painful - you have been a trouper thorough this!! Please take it easy - sounds like Jim has things under control. I must say, your kitties are beautiful - you and your dear hubby are taking such good care of them! Please rest - you will be yourself again soon! Tons of hugs, Laura
You poor soul, I feel miserable just reading about it. You have a lot more fortitude than I. Will keep praying for a good recovery for you but in the meantime just concentrate on resting and healing. Lynne
I think recovery time varies with each person, however, everyone needs to rest and not rush the recovery process! Don't rush things and listen to what your body tells you.
Kitties are gorgeous! Maybe you need a kitty that is more domesticated to curl up on your lap and to give you a reason to sit still for a while. When is your next appt. with your doc?
Yes, would love to add a domestic to our crew, we know one will come along that will need a good home, so we are just biding our timeπ My follow up with nose doc is 5-18.....
Happy to hear that you are healing. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself. You've been through a big deal!
Such pretty cats! That's a spectacular 3D shot!
Wow! Vicki, these are beautiful cats.
I am so glad to read that you are on the mend, please take more rest time when you need it. Your body is telling you to rest! Thank God for Jim, he is one in a million. Love Chris
Vicki, I hope you are feeling better soon. Take the time to heal ad don't rush things. So glad you are doing well enough to post. Love those kitties for us! hugs,
Jan
good to read you are recovering, step by step it will become better, take the time to rest when you need it. Thank you for sharing the cats. when momma knows she has a safe and warm place with you and Hb she will come out. My friend got a cat last year , she was 9 years old and had a very bad home before she was replaced. The first days she did hide behind the cabinet, but after a few days she came in sight. She is still a little suspicious for strangers. But she feels at home and comfortable now... Big hugs for you and take it easy.
It' so strange with the ferals.....they always are on guard even with us.........our girls that have been in for 6 years now, will run if we are walking toward them......we have learned to just keep going and don't look at them.....so funny! I do miss having at least one that is domesticated, but we enjoy & love these girls for who they are....
Hi Vikki... Nice to hear from you. Glad you are doing a bit better. Healing takes so much time. You have been through a lot and your body is telling you to rest. Thank God for wonderful husbands...
Mama is beautiful. Right now her cage is her safe space. She will come around I know it. I can see it in her eyes... Parfit and Maxine are beautiful too they look a lot like mama.
I have had Kelly a feral I got in a year ago that was very sick. She had surgery on her ear and a lot of bad ear infections that we cured. I was slow with her and I used to take her on the counter and give her snacks and pet her... Kelly got used to that Now she comes out of her cage on her own and explores. She is coming in the playroom now to sit with us or be in the window She looks a lot like mama cat. I am glad she is coming along so well. Mama will also...
Rest take care HUGS Prayers are still coming your way.
So glad to hear you are on the mend. Praying for a successful outcome. Hugs. Nan
Nice to hear that your health is finally a little better, hugs Maria
The cats are so sweet. Praying the you can rest and get to feeling better very soon. Take care
The effects of a general anaesthetic without surgery have a major effect on the body. Time is a great healer but one does have to take it easy following surgery. I think we are always in a hurry just take care. Thanks for your feline family pics
Maxine is a true beauty - she should be Maxine the Queen. Great pictures and glad things are moving along with Momma cat. Now, about you... Surgery and rebuilding tissues and the aftereffects of drugs used to put you to sleep are all creating the tiredness. The drugs may also be disrupting the sleep you do get with strange dreams. Patience and REST.
It's so good to hear from you. I'm not surprised you feel tired. Your body is working hard to heal all that trauma from the surgery and to mesh the new bone with the original. Not to mention with the swelling, it's harder to breathe. You keep resting and healing and enjoying the kitties. I am so grateful the mama cat is calm and enjoying an open cage. Iyt will be an exciting day when she joins her family. Kudos, hugs and a big thank you to Jim for managing to take care of everything..
