I think I've forgotten how to leave a message about everything I see or read on here but this Chat place. I want to tell everyone that I am seeing your projects-close to my heart-and I am reading [most of the time when I can] the posts here but can not always respond in kind. Please be assured everyone gets a flower and when asked for prayer for those we love, it is there from the heart. I see new names listed also, so know there are some new to the site. I only post occasionally of something I've made--I forget to snap pictures--but again, I see all of your all's. It thrills me to see all of those different projects. I think I am just getting tired and my sewing and embroidery days seem to be less and less. When I have a good day and have everything lined up [believe me, it takes me days to get the fabrics cut, the threads lined up, the tape, scissors and what have you all ready before I can begin a project.] I just finished one I will post soon. Then on to one I have really looked forward to doing--a gift from a Cutie. Thanks for taking your time to read this. Hugs to all.

Hi Patti! Good to hear from you when you can. I am the same as you about not be able to respond to everything. I try to read all post, but the telephone rings or hubby needs something, so I don't always get to comment but flowers are given.
It is easy to let ourselves get depressed in this pandemic of not socializing and not want to start anything. I get so lonesome for my kids and grands (the virus is bad here right now) but I force myself to keep busy, even when my heart's not in it at the beginning. Once I get started, then it takes my mind off the world situation and why we can't see the kids, and I get something made someone can enjoy.
I had to push myself yesterday to do cleaning. I used to love to clean and feel good once it was done, even if nobody noticed it was clean. But since I have all these aches and pains, cleaning isn't enjoyable. I did get the furniture dusted and the floors mopped, with the help of my hubby. He doesn't mind mopping but that's all.-lol- Hey, I'm thankful for that! When I first hurt my back and leg, I wanted to hire someone for the cleaning. He wouldn't hear of it, so he mostly does the mopping. It doesn't take much for my back to go out. I once had to go to the doctor for my back, when I just bent over to put clothes, in the dryer.
Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say, just start anything, even if you have to push or force yourself. It's a time where we could all have mental problems, but we have to fight to stay up. I know some struggle more, because they feel the situation is hopeless. It's something we, you and I, can't change but we can change how we cope with it. The Serenity Prayer says it all.
It's okay to feel tired, sad, etc but don't get bogged down in it. Rise up and just take one day at a time. Whatever happens, God is still in control and will do what's best for each of His children, even if we don't realize it at the time. We have to do our part and not lose hope.
Sending much love, hug, and prayers your way. -Toogie

HI Patty, so nice to see you post something. I'm in the middle of doing a massive 32 pieces of a Santa detailed quilt hanging. So I know what you mean about getting the threads, fabric, stabiliser etc. I've done two parts and notice the second one is bigger, so I will have to wait and see if number 3 matches. Looking forward to seeing your projects. Love Chris

Hi Patty, I'm so glad you posted, even if it not often. I can't remember where you live. Is is in the USA? Maybe you are an Aussie! I know what you mean about how much time it takes to get things all set to sew. I always have to clean up the table first too. Then when I am finished I have a terrible mess to clean up. I don't know why I can't be neat, I've tried for years and years and just still can't be tidy! Please do post your projects. I love seeing what others have accomplished - and I get ideas. Hugs, Jan in Colorado

I do not know how everyone else reads the community. I just click on that category on the top of the page and with that I get to read all posts wether they are sewing, chat or.....
I totally understand that one can not always reply, be enthusiastic, have the right words available or whatever else. It is sweet to know that you will pray, give flowers and check in on us. Thank you. All of this Covis stuff can take the wind out of our desire to be creative. I also have not done as much this year. It was almost a borderline depression and of course my new puppy which is pretty sick. Hopefully in tis year you will find the joy again creating something beautiful for someone special.
