Hello Cuties, you know when something happens that hurts your children, it hurts you too. A week or so ago my grandson and his wife showed us a nice grill her parents had bought them for Christmas. They had to have their Christmas early, because her dad works away and won't be home for christmas.

Yesterday I got a text from my oldest grandson. While he and his wife were both at work someone to lazy, sorry good for nothin' came and stole their new grill.
Today, when his wife checked their emails they realized that not only was the grill stolen, from the back patio, the motorized jeep Santa was bringing Kinley was also stolen, because delivery man left it on the patio yesterday.
We assume the thief saw the delivery (out in the country) and when the vulture swooped in to steal the package he saw the nice new grill and stole a bonus.
It just upset me to no end how worthless some humans act.
Amazon reimbursed their account and they re-ordered but the child won't get it in time for Santa to deliver. Pitiful. I think Fed-Ex should have been responsible. I told Caleb from now on have anything delivered here because we are always here. He said Rylan's is suppose to come in next week. They can let me know a day but not sure the time. I told him I would go over and wait for package if I knew about what time. Shameful is what it is to you and me. People that do this have no shame.
I just had to vent and caution you about his time of year when packages are delivered the devils are on the prowl.

You are right to be angry. This just makes me angry too. The thieves will probably never be caught and continue to live a life of crime. When I buy from Amazon, I get emails tellling me when the delivery is so that I can watch for it. I think the delivery drivers are told to be aware of any car that they notice is following them, but I'm sure there are ways to get around being seen. Now, I getting nostalgic again...I long for the days when we would leave the front door open in case the neighbors needed to come over and borrow something while we were gone. Or, for the milkman to leave the milk inside the house...or not having to lock our cars anywhere...etc. etc. etc. I don't think there will ever be a time like that again, and am grateful that I got to experience what it was like to live when you could trust everyone to do the right thing. Having things delivered to you is a good solution, but this dims the joy of the season.

I agree with everything you've said. We, as kids, used to roam the woods playing. Now you can't let them in the yard, but then most don't want to go play outside, too hooked on electronic games. Times are changing and not for the better....

Sorry this happened to your family. Not much worse than a thief or a liar. This is happening so much since online order and delivery has become part of every day living. I hope your family has a Merry Christmas.

Unfortunately Anita, people who commit these illegal acts have no conscience. Their hearts are hardened, the feeling you and I feel, are foreign to them.

I am so sorry that this has happened to them it is so wrong on so many levels! What is even worse if the lazy thieves would get caught nothing would happen to them! There are now states in the USA that said stealing up to 750 dollars worth of stuff is just fine! I am afraid of what our Country is turning into when even horrible criminals are just being let out of jail! We all know when there is NO consequences for ILLEGAL behavior it is only going to get worse!

I am so sorry this happened to your family.
Just recently we had a story on TV warning about this same thing happening. One man had a camera showing his front door area and a woman stole a box of food at 5.30am that had just been delivered while he was home. Luckily because of his camera they got the car and rego number and caught her. She had a car full of boxes so I gather she was just following the delivery van around and waiting until they leave a parcel. Pity they don't get a decent punishment usually just a fine.

That’s why there are so many brave criminals, no punishment!
We believe that’s what happened. Either following the truck or driver in on it.

So sorry, Toogie for your Grandson and his family. I don't have any patience for people who steal. There is no excuse for it. I'm happy Amazon came to the rescue - but, how do you explain to a child that their gift won't arrive in time for Christmas? I hope who ever did this gets caught!

It upsets me too. My grandson doesn’t like the idea that someone was at their house helping themselves. I know they feel violated.

Honestly. It takes all kinds of people to make up this world. This makes me so mad. I am so sorry this happened to your family

I am upset about it too. Messing with a child’s memories of Christmas burns me up!

Several years ago I live in a small community. We have painted our small bed rooms ( the is first house we owned) yellow and blue, I had worn a pair of cheap jeans while doing the job, And got paint on them which I wash them it did not come off, I hung them on a outside line to dry I forget about them when I brought the cloths in to be put away , a day or two later the neighbor cane to my door asking to barrow some aspirin and she had on my pants, and I think that takes the cake.

This makes my blood boil, also. There are so many who have no compassion for others in this day and age, but are willing to cause such distress to a child. My heart goes out to Kinley. I hope santa can figure out a way to let Kinley know the jeep is coming and all is OK. And blessings on you to be willing to put your day aside to make sure this doesn't happen again. BTW, we have cameras that record on our house. Caleb might want to think about that.

My daughter has one on hers but Caleb has just bought his place since Covid- I haven’t even been inside though we have been over to carport patio to drop off satsumas for the kids. Both time’s Caleb had gotten off early and was there but we didn’t go in. It’s a pretty place but neighbors are in the distance, not close. Yes he put his hunting cameras out.

Awwww! Satsumas. It has been 3 years since I have had some. Miss my trip to North LA to get some but am too far now. So sorry about the stolen gifts. Hope the jeep arrives in time for Santa.

So sorry to hear this Toogie, especially when it concerns a child’s Christmas present. We can never have anything delivered if we are not at home as it would disappear immediately. I have to ask a neighbour to take something in.

They just never thought and didn’t even realize the Jeep had been delivered the same day someone stole the grill. Not until Taylor checked her email the next day. They figured someone saw the delivery, saw no one home and saw the brand new grill so took it along with the delivery of the Jeep.

Oh! that is so dreadful. I can't believe someone would stoop so low as to steal from someone's front porch. I do hope Fedex get a good talking to and stop delivering to homes when no-one is about. I do hope Kinley is not too disappointed. I pray that someone saw the van/car that stole those gifts and that you can get them back Love Chris

I once had my washing stolen when I was living in Johannesburg

toogie by toogie 17 Dec 2020

Oh my Sarah! Were they too lazy to wash their own🙄

Caleb asked the neighbor but they are not close so never noticed . They said they never notice the Fed Ex truck.

Amazon said they are doubtful they will get it for Christmas, so if they don’t get it Christmas Eve then it will be the 28th.
Kinley is little but Rylan knows when Santa’s coming.

I am oh so sorry for you and your Grandson and his wife. It is terrible when things like this happens especially at Christmas time. Sorry Kinley's toy will not be in time for Santa to bring. Hope Santa will leave a big IOU. Hugs

Santa is already feeling bad for Kinley. These are parents that WORK, save and manage so for someone who won’t work, irresponsible, Lawbreakers to do this to them and their child, really upsets them.
