Great news, Brenda... I see that Barb gave you the scoop on your machine. I had the same machine about 12 years ago... I got a lemon and my dealer finally refunded my money and I bought a Baby Lock Ellisimo... I hope you have good luck with yours. Just FYI, you can use a 1gb or a 2gb USB stick with your machine. Looking forward to seeing some of your projects too....

Congratulations on your new acquisition.
I have both the Janome MC 11000 and the Janome MC12000.
I love them both , but prefer the practicality of the 11000.
You do not have any problems with getting designs onto your new machine as Horizon Link only works on models after the MC11000.
I have never used a memory card in my 11000, even though the input slot is there, instead I use a 1GB USB stick. JEF format designs are transferred from the computer, into the embf folder (contained within the EMB folder on the USB stick). The USB stick is then inserted into the machine.
I do this with my Janome Digitiser Junior program, which is an extra purchase, but readily available.
The alternative method of transfering designs is via a cable that goes from your computer directly to your machine.
I am sure you will be able to get extra assistance, should you need it, a Janome dealer.
Enjoy your `new`machine. Cheers Barb.

Unfortunately I can not help. I do not know the answers but I wanted to let you know that I removed your question in Q&A to keep it organized. I also wanted to let you know that your acknowledgement of having read the answers by a "Thank you" was much appreciated, because too often we do not know if the answers were even received. Now I hope someone will come along and know how to help.
