Hey all my dear friends!!! Got my splints out yesterday and I feel like I want to live now...LOL...it was really rough while those were in, so much pain pressure. Will be breathing very well when all this heals......am greasing my nose inside with vaseline for awhile as it is full of scabs and of course don't want to pick them off. Doc had a video photographer on site yesterday and they filmed my splint removal....who wants my autograph😎 That aside, I have been down longer with this surgery than the one in November and I want to hit the ground running now, but am going to force myself to take it easy for the next 2 weeks, am still gonna do stuff though......I have to just to keep my sanity!! Still struggling with Sammi's sugar levels...he was 470 on Sunday, so he is now bumped up to 3.5 units...still praying for his health...I thank each and every one of you for all your prayers, love and support believe me, it is what has gotten me through this "stuff"... I have love for all of you and wish nothing but the best for you and your families.....stay safe and well and wear your masks and wash your hands!!💖

I'm so glad to hear that you are healing up and taking good care of your surgery site. I never heard of them filming a surgery! Do you have a copy of it? Not sure I'd want to see it...especially if it is in color. It's good that you are focusing on keeping yourself busy and moving forward in spite of having to deal with this and dealing with Sammi's problems too. Do you know why Sammi's surger levels have increased? It is really upsetting when our furbabies have health issues, especially when you end up just having to take an educated guess about what is going on. He may be just reacting to you not being in tip top condition.

I know it has been an ordeal but you are on the upside now. Keeping you in my prayers Vicki. Much love! Be careful with the Vaseline, it's wonderful but you don't want it in your lungs. A little dab will do.

When you have been absent from your cats, do they get real "talky" upon your return? Sugartoes gets talky if I just stay in the yard too long, much less be gone a few days! Also, if I'm on the phone, he chimes in with a lot of guff.

That would be a yes for Sammi until this diabetic issue....now he only talks when it je wants food, which is all the time. Maxine though is getting needy....she rubs on everything I have in my hand so it is hard to do anything when she wants attention....😻

I had sinus surgery before and nose was packed, sick as a dog right afterwards from pain meds. I can't imagine your situation! Ouch! Hope you feel better soon but do take it easy, the work will be there when you heal and you will feel more like hitting the floor running after a good recovery.

Hurray! I do love to hear good news. I hope that you will now see improvement each and every day and soon be breathing like a normal person. And tell Jim we say thanks for keeping such a close eye on you. I understand about needing to keep busy and keeping sanity, but do remember you need to rest too. And the rest periods are worktime too because you are healing. We forget healing is hard work. My prayers for Sammi continue. Give him lots of Cute cuddles from us all and take a few hugs for you too.

Thanks so much, Laura......boy, you don't realize how everything is connected until you mess with one of the elements........My ears, teeth, head, throat and nose plus my eyes seem to water constantly, which thankfully has stopped since getting the splints out......

And they say the air is free. You have paid a big price to breathe well and feel well. So glad things are looking up.

Congratulations on being splint free. Hope the good healing progresses well but dont overdo life. Are you planning on having a picture up as a reminder of the splint removal. We watched on Facetime the removal of the youngest grandsons plaster on his arm the other day but I don't think it was filmed. Cuddles and miow to Sammi
