The smoke from the fires is bad again today, opened the bedroom door at 6.30am to find that the smoke had seeped in from around the front door .

This afternoon I looked at the weather bureau radar to see if the southerly change was getting close. It showed rain was falling around us,no such luck ,it must be the thick smoke. The same thing happened last Friday too.

There is thunder at the moment with some spots of rain. All noise ,not much action. Some of the fires in the state have started burning in August ,summer officially starts December 1st.

The cool change has just hit here in Sydney hopefully the smoke will blow out to sea, have 2 daughters and SIL suffering from bad Asthma at the moment. Hopeful the winds don't make it harder for the fire fighters.

Hope the smoke clears up for you. If it was just coming in under the door I would say put a wet towel there but a bit hard around the door.

There are towels along the bottom of the front door as well as the door to the garage.I was thinking of hanging a sheet over the door next time the smoke is bad.Aluminium doors & windows seem to have better seals than wooden doors.
Blue skies today .
