Girls dresses made from 1980's cotton border print.

The white dress is the first one I made ,it had 2 side seams & wasted some of the border print trying to match the print. For the koalas & ducklings, I just used all the fabric I had for the skirt .matching the print up ,for one side seam.
Pattern is called Vintage very Cherry from Candy Castle Patterns.

These take me back to a time when I wore ironed dresses to first grade every day. My mother always said it was an inevitable 2 tablecloths and 14 dresses (2 girls) every week.

Thank you.We had no summer uniform in school for years, until the mothers got together & we ended up with a check shirt maker dress for a summer uniform.I think they were sick of ironing different dresses for the week.

These are all darling little dresses. They have a soft look to them, if that makes sense. I love the top two especially as they look fuller than the bottom. The fabrics are perfect for these. You have given me a fresh look at the uses of border fabrics, that I maybe can use on some I have. Thanks

Thank you. Each dress is a different size & the amount of fabric in the skirts depends on hoe much border print I had

bonjour

Vos robes sont très jolies, pour nous en France ce sera des robes d'hiver, mais je vais d'abord penser à moi.
Merci Gisèle

I have made several little girl dresses long ago. I always loved making them. Your dresses are adorable and I especially like the Koala.
