I'm trying to create an applique. I am basically clueless. I have the design as a line image, but I don't know how to complete the applique process. It's a silhouette of Mary and Joseph to go on a banner at our church. I have PE Design Next. Would it be better to use something else? Thanks.

Besides our own digitizers, emblibrary has a tutorial on it. Go to their Home page then Projects. Click Helpful How To's and then Specialty Emb and finally, Making Applique Patches. They have their own video on it as well as written instructions.
Another source is YouTube. I wrote "Making Badges on Brother Machines" in the Search Bar and many demos came up. It's fairly easy especially when you know how! Good luck.

I haven't thought to look for videos. I automatically went right to this site.

Sorry I can't help you Jenny. I'm sure one of our digitisers on here could help you out. Good luck on making the banner. Love Chris

Thank you. It's a big banner--about 3 feet wide and 5 feet tall and hangs vertically. We have a set of them, with a name of God done on each banner. This one is the "Emmanuel" banner, and it has the name diagonally which limits the placement of other things. So I wanted to do "God with us" on the top right blank area, and the silhouette of Joseph leading Mary on a donkey to Bethlehem on the bottom left. Sound good?
