I found it! It was on a site called "amazin grace designs" Yay!!
We sing it too, but since we don't have books I had never thought about "rains" or "reigns" . Since it's "like a flood" I envision "rain". Mercy raining down on me!
it is such a beautiful song. I have heard it on the radio, but not recently.
I love this song. But I don't know whether the word is "rains" or "reigns" because both words really could fit. And looking through the sites that show lyrics, it comes up both ways.
I found it it is called fs130 amazing song birds carolyn
I'm having trouble figuring out what to search for. Amazing song birds results in clips of actual bird songs, and fs 130 comes up with weedeaters! As you can see, I get confused pretty easy now.
I have another problem too--in the line "and like a flood, his mercy reigns" looking up the lyrics I've found so many sites that use the word "rains" and the other half of them uses "reigns" I don't want to do it wrong!
I guess there is no wrong then. Use what you would like. Personally I would use rains. I like the idea of His mercy raining down on me.
According to what I can find, the hymn Amazing Grace is public domain so there should not be a problem using it...
thank you. I thought it was perhaps public domain, but I hadn't checked yet.
We sing this version too, but I haven't seen a design of it. Look in your history. You may can bring it up again like that. I'd like to see the design myself but it would most likely be too big for my hoop/emb field. Good luck.
thanks. My browser is set to delete the history when I close it, so that won't work. When I find it, I'll post it for you.
