Great work by you all. they look so professional. Hugs
I think it is the serger that makes a nice finish, even though a long time ago I worked at a sewing factory and before that, I sewed at home. Thank you Shirley-Hugs Toogie
Neat, everything look great. let you wrist rest for awhile maybe it will get better, I will be praying for it.
I know I should heed your advice, but I find there is always things that seem to 'can't wait'. I do wear the wrist brace when I cut out and sew, though sometimes I wonder if it does any good.
Oh Toogie I love them! I love doing these little dresses a lot more than the pillow case ones. I think these go a lot faster . A wonderful job by some lovely women Tell me where I can get the pants pattens and sizes if you can. Haven't been able to get any of my church sewing done yet this yr. but hoping opportunity will arrive. It does me so much good to see others are doing this also. Many hugs/Lillian
I think you have your hands full at the moment, so excuse yourself for now. Just know that God's work is still going in this way, even though you aren't able now, you have given so much over the years.
All of the patterns are Brenda's from her business and I wish I had them myself. When she brings them, we are so busy cutting out fabric, that I forget to ask if I can cut me copies of them.....
Beautiful work from some sweet ladies.
This morning my friend Trudy told me that one of the ladies Joyce that came Friday, told her how she enjoyed our morning here. She is new here, moved from another church/town and we wanted to include her in these projects, since she told Brenda that she could sew.
Great job of all the ladies Toogie. The children will absolutely love everything that has been made. Well done, love Chris
Beautiful as always. Could you loan me some of your energy? I don't know how you do it all! Fantastic work.
Hey, I sent you a pm several days ago. Look up at the header at the top of this page, where it says INBOX and it should be RED. Click on it, then click on my message and any others you may have!-lol
Great looking selection of goodies you gals have made.
I am with Sewmum1 the stitched in elastic looks good but it is one of the things that has to be replaced before the garment wears out.
I don't know how many track pants I have been given to replace elastic when the garment is still good.
I understand what you are saying about changing the elastic, but where these are going, I don't think that would be an option. I'm sure they don't have access to things we have to work with.
Such a worthy cause and great fellowship besides. I admire your productivity and creativity
My husband cooked a vegetable soup for us, but only Joyce stayed, as the other two had to go 'feed' their hubbys. Everyone including me, enjoyed the morning. I must say, by nightfall I was dragging my bottom.I had company/visitors for 11 hours straight! Talk about Grand Central Station! Before one would leave more would come in. I am glad to have company but it was a long day, with no breaks for a nap-lol
Well done to all you busy ladies. I love how quick and easy it is to put elastic in with a serger, but I rarely do it as I like to be able to replace or adjust the elastic when necessary
I was always unsure of 'standard' elastic guide. If I had the child here that I was sewing for, I would adjust it on them. Since we can't do that, we use Brenda's guide from her shop. It's simple to do and so neat too. Or it will be once I get the starting off better.-lol
What a great looking group of donations. So ambitious! Glad you learned a new trick with the waistbands.
I'm glad too. It's not that I really didn't know how, it was the elastic length that I was scared of. If too short, would be binding. If too long, slipping down all the time. I need to get a copy of her lengths for each size, for future references.
