Just wanted to say, I feel so sad about the terrible things going on in our "new" world. Will we have to get used to it?

The terror in UK, the terror in Belgium and some attacks in Germany too
The fire destroying human lifes and building in London
The wild fires in Southafrica and Portugal
Sorry for all who have to suffer

I got a survey from the GOP and I am not registered. I think it is because I have called my congressman and expressed my concern about some issues that affect my life. I also have signed many a petition regarding the environment. The more I read and research the more I am astounded that the outcry is not seen in the media. All these issues get is maybe a mention unless it is one of the few stories that goes global. Anyway, even this survey does not contain some of the issues that I think may affect the human race. Tells you where their(Congress) priorities lie. I have started to embroider badges or patches expressing my concerns. The killing of life must stop. except for the hagfish and the sea lamprey which is probably the oldest creature on the planet and considered invasive in many of our fresh water lakes. The natural stuff is quite enough to deal with. What do you get when you pull the weeds after not pulling them for 20 years... worse weeds.

The world is changing and not in a good way. People who stand up for love and God's perfect word are vilified, and radicals for whatever reason are honored.

It also makes me feel so sad and angered Maria. I think if we had more women in power there certainly wouldn't be as much war/terrorism in the world. I also agree with Karen and pray that the 'Light' in our world will overcome the darkness.
With regard to our natural disasters they sometimes can't be helped. I know we in Australia are very aware of bush-fires and if you throw a cigarette butt out of your window when driving woe betide!
We also need to be diligent with our households and have fire alarms installed.
And don't even get me started with our oceans - we need to ban plastics and especially plastic shopping bags. I know here in Australia, South Australia led the ban of plastic shopping bags back in 2009, Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and Northern Territory in 2011 and Tasmania 2013. Queensland will ban them from next July 2018.
I can't understand why New South Wales and Western Australia haven't done so as yet, but I'm sure it will happen!
I do my little bit to help by using fabric bags and if everyone did that well it would be a huge reduction in landfill. Sorry for venting, love Chris

I agree, I will never get used to it either. I cringe and pray every time I hear of these tragedies. I can understand the natural disasters, but the human created disasters are pure evil. But I am reminded by the people on Cute that their is a lot of Light in the world. And where there is Light, darkness will not conquer.

I don't think anyone could get used to that kind of a world. Praying for all those affected by the worlds strife.

it's sad what happens, but I do hope we will not get used to it. Let's work and pray for a better world, for the future.....
