Got the Hoyer Lift and put Ron in bed with it last night/Lillian

Too bad there would not be the space needed in the room for the lift, if you just moved the dressers, or any other of the room items into where ever you are planning to move your room, so that you and your bed could still be right there, keeping an eye on Ron. I know you are going to start sleeping lighter or leaving the hearing aids in thinking that you do not want to miss hearing him. Then with his habit of trying to do things to help or not worry you, he seems to try to do things himself and we do not want him to land on the floor and you not having heard him and I know the first time or any time that you find him on the floor is going to tear your heart. Hope and prayers that you will figure out a way to keep him safe from harm and allow you both to get your needed rest. Hugs and Happy Easter, Hope you have had some special family time. Pam

So pleased to read this news Miss Lillian and I'm sorry you have to move out of your bedroom. On the other hand I'm glad to read you've got that new Hoyer lift as it will make your life easier with lifting Ron in and out of bed. And what a good idea about using a baby monitor.
I hope you have a wonderful Easter Day with all your family. Love Chris

I am so happy I could do 'the happy dance!' (In my head anyway-lol) What a blessing for you to have this organization that has all the necessary equipment you need for Ron's care and to provide it so quickly after they saw the need. Like I said, I couldn't be happier for you!!! May God continue to bless you both-Toogie

It is going to be a great help although I've got to work out a few things. They are a lot larger than what they seem in hospital setting when you get them in your bedrm with a hospital bed and a twin bed along with night stands, over bed table, dresser, chest of drawers and oxygen. I'll have to move out but am going to purchase a Baby monitor

Hospice had it delivered yesterday.

Just think that by Ron being in respite care that someone realised that it would be most useful too you and was urgently required

Gonna be good Betsy, but I'm going to have to move out of bedrm, not enough rm to maneuver safely. Will also have to purchase Baby monitor so I can hear him(this is going to be hard) Also found Hoyers do no roll well on carpet so going to try a plastic (lg) runner along side of bed to try and make it easier. Son n law is going to pull up carpet and replace flooring but only when he gets reflooring all the bottom floor of their house which is what he is doing now.. He is a busy man taking care of all the neighborhood , us and his own. LOL Daughter says she is always last on his list but doesn't really complain. Anything goes wrong around here she says" mother I'll send Gene down , he'll fix it for you". God bless him, don't know how we would manage without him.
