ITH Memory Cushion - any pieced quilt block could be used in this way. This one is the basic sashed block from Engineered in Stitches. (I had "fun" matching those checks!) The photograph was done with Embird Sfumato.

I'm a fan. This is a lovely pillow and I'll just wager that you will never have any idea of it's great worth to your dear friend.
I've been matching plaids since the early 70's and would never purchase anything off rack that wasn't matched- one of my pet peeves.

No - they are good friend. Micheal died a couple of years ago and the checked fabric was one of his shirts. I made the cushion for Janey, his wife.
