Is there anyone here from Colombia? I am thinking of sending a parcel of home made gifts to a young man I worked with who has returned home. They had a baby here in Australia and I gave gifts for that little girl. Now they have a second girl born in Colombia and I would like to do something for her.

My question is will he have to pay Customs or import duty on anything I send?
I don't want to cost him money.

You will also need to find out if any types of thing are not allowed. (This information should be available on-line.) Some of us were trying to send gifts to Brazil a few years ago, but we didn't realise that we weren't allowed to send cotton items. Our gifts never arrived at their destination.
