It must have been so hard to live torn between hope and sorrow all these months. May the Lord bless them and the love of all around them carry them through this.
Like the mission work as gerryb describes below, I learned of 'Threads of Love' when I kept up my subscription, to the Sew Beautiful magazine, years ago. There was an article about this group in the magazine.
Then Avery and Isabella, my identical twin grand daughters, received items made by the local chapter in the state capital, where they were born. They both had the Lovie doll in their pods, smocked bonnet, shirts, etc for Avery.
As I had smocked their gowns, 19 days later Isabella had her burial gown & my best friend smocked her bonnet , but T of L provided a burial packet for parents.
Some time later, when we reestablished what our 'normal life' was again, I joined our local chapter here.
Please click on the video at the link provided below, to learn more about this group and how you can help too. It is a wonderful ministry.
My sincere condolences for the parents, family, NICU caregivers, and church family.-Toogie
ps-photo is nurse wiping Avery foot the day she was born-She weighed 27 ounces (1 pound 11 ounces) and Isabella weighed 18 ounces (1 pound 2 ounces)
Thank you for the link and that beautiful photo and your story. I wish no one had to endure the loss of an infant.
It's so hard to hear of the passing of a baby or a young child.
I will pray for that family and give thanks that they have a church family who loves them and who will hold them up in this time of need and sorrow.
You had a great idea, I'm going to give mine extra love and kisses when I next see them. Thank you Lord for my special blessings.
Thank you for your kind words. I got to see my little one today, and just couldn't stop touching her and hugging her.
Poor family must be heartbroken. What a long and sad journey they have had. Sending prayers. When this happens it makes us realise how precious our little ones are
The journey has been hard for them. They did know towards the end what the outcome would be, so they did get to prepare a little. Prayers are appreciated.
Have you hear of the group called Angel Wings Memory Gowns? They take wedding dresses & make a gown for babies that have passed away. They are located here in the area where I live. If you are on Facebook, please go & read about this group. Never any cost to the parents. A beautiful group of women. My heart breaks for this family. They will be in my prayers.
God gives and He takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. The family will be in my prayers that lost the little angel/Lillian
It is a hard truth. I'm trying to learn to say that "it is well with my soul" at all times, but it is difficult to do sometimes.
