Can anyone give me a heads up on an embroidery downloading programme?. When my computer went in for repairs due to a Windows problem, my 5D was removed.

I thought there was something with a number 7 in one, Wilcom, Pulse etc. Any help appreciated, love Chris

Can you not reinstall the software? You may just need to install a driver for the dongle. You might find this page helpful:

Thanks Sewist1, I have to travel to Zig Zag (a sewing machine shop) and get the lady who downloaded it for me to reinstall it. I was talking to Meg and she said I should have got the disc, but I didn't. She told me how to download through Windows Explorer without the dongle. So I'm happy! Thanks for your post. Love Chris

Chris, you don't need a programme to download as far as I am aware. I use Wilcom true sizer to unzip, if that is what you mean. It is free. Sandra.

Unfortunately I do have to have a dongle with the Husqvarna, if I don't have it in the computer a message comes up saying there is a HASP key missing! Computers, aaaggghhh! I'll try Wilcom truesizer and see what happens, I'll let everyone know. Love Chris

Are you talking about a program to unzip the zipped folders..there is 7-Zip that is a free program...

Be careful as you could reinstall the program that caused some trouble on your computer before.
Windows has the ability to unpack zipped folders so no need for one there. I am guessing you cannot reinstall 5d?

Hi Rescuer, I'm going to have to go back to Zig Zag Sewing machine shop where the owner downloaded the 5D programme for me about 4 years ago. With the Husqvarna I've always used the 4D and now the 5D. I believe there is another one again, they keep upgrading, but I'm happy with the 5D. Love Chris

Could you be thinking of "Data 7?" I bought it long ago when it was on special, but don't use it. It's okay, I just found other program I liked better.
