How about the words" Happy Trails To You" in rope font. Roy Rogers and Dale Evans closing words at every show. Or you could say "Sweet Dreams"
Oh I do have the rope alha, too! Thanks for these ideas.
the Lone Ranger is on now, as we speak....Me go now
This is marianb 's sheet set she talked about in her post below. She has done a beautiful job with this and all her other projects, I looked at when I clicked on her blue name/avatar. Wonderful job Marian! I can only hope to do as well. I just need to 'right' design........................
I like some of the ideas below. I learnt the hard way to use either linework or redwork designs on the sheets my girls aren't like my MIL who ironed every thing including the boys undies. lol. I did a couple a few years ago by Carolyn's Designs, I put them in projects(sorry don't know how to link).
If you wanted something a bit different what about a fabric scalloped edge similar to photo 2 or a prairie point edge. Marin
I did the prairie point for Noras bedding, Avery's is a wedding ring quilt in pinks and greens. I had thought of doing a maderia edge like I did on some of my heirloom dresses....I'm not sure......
I looked at all your projects/quilts. You have done an amazing job of all of them. Thanks for sharing your ideas and projects.
Not for the sheets, but Embroidery Library's sale this week has an angel candle wrap for just $1.25 USD.
I did see that, as I get the newsletter too. I think her shelf is full....see the deodorant and powder?-lol
Thanks for the link so others may enjoy too.
Maybe you could use the outline of cowboy boots in pink (to match what she has) across the top. On the pillowcase "girls can be cowboys, too!"
Morning Toogie, I'd love to see Angels on them, that way she'd be covered by them!!! Love ❤️ Chris
I would guess from things you have written the Avery is a Strong, determined ,fighter and she is becoming a young lady now so I wouldn
't do anything too "babyish". No girls in our famiyl so I can't think of anything specific, maybe ask some tenagers at church or ones you know from you bus days.
Embroidery Library had done a series of Sweet Dreams sets - the light stitching is great as it'll still look decent after washing and drying whereas sometimes heavy stitching requires a hit with an iron. Search linked is on pillow case.
I will take a look see. Thanks and I was thinking too, of redwork or line art, whatever it's called especially if doing all along the top edge.
what about a soft pastel colour material border combined with embroidery
why not use a soft floral material and add a border combine with embroidery
I find just deciding what to stitch out takes a lot of time and head scratching. I open a new desktop folder and move the possibilities into it and mull it over for a day or two and then make my pick. Seems to help me. Good luck.
We've been gifted several redwork cowgirls in different poses on Designs by SICK. (Check your stash.) They'd make a pretty, quick border and would be cute for her in bright pink.
