I have made a decision to retire my Bernina830S machine and sell it.....I want to get a small machine with just a few fancy stitches just to use for mending and small sewing projects.....it is a shame to have this machine with every attachment available just sitting in my other room......any suggestions where to list it other than ebay, I don't trust selling something so large on ebay and am not real crazy about craigs list... looking for advice please...TIA.......

Excellent idea. I also have an old sewing machine that I should get rid of. I know that I will never use it again.

Yes, there comes a time one must let go and this machine can and should be used by someone who does all the type of sewing and quilting that I don't do.....

Do you have a facebook site Buy Swap Sell for your local area or state you might have luck there.. But then if it fits in a standard envelope I would be interested as I'm in Australia so picking up might prove a problem.. lol. Marian

I am in Illinois.....I have every hoop available for this machine including the hat hoop and the 11x16....PM me if interested..

Good......didn't want to cause any rumors......I changed it a tad as when I re read it it sure sounded like I was talking about me.......I will probably be buried with my Melco...LOL!
It's big enough for Jim to stick me inside it......

I have used the yahoo group SewIts4Sale. I have both bought and sold. It is just a forum to post your item. Buyer and seller connect off the group. I always use paypal for protection and so far have not had any issues. There is at least one other yahoo group but I can't recall the name right now. Good luck and enjoy your retirement. Hugs. Nan W

Thank you so much......will check into it.....I am just retiring this machine......I have a 16 needle melco that I use exclusively so it is a shame to have the other one sitting around idle.......

Nice to retire Hope you have a wonderful retirement. We will miss your creativity here. So sad to sell your machine. Can you list it at you local Sewing shop? or perhaps a sewing website that advertises used equipment? Best of luck to you!! Enjoy your retirement!!

No, honey, I am not retiring....just the sewing machine....I only use my 16 needle Melco now, so I need to get just a machine to mend with it is overkill to have this big 830 and not use it.......
