I am at the start of going through possessions and deciding what is important. I am moving next year-with my daughter, sil, and gs who live with me-and there is just so much.
We started with stuff we knew we didn't want, but it progressed to being sure of the "not so sure about tossing" things. It got easier and easier. We sent a lot of pictures to our kids, and if they didn't show an interest, out it went.
Congrats on accomplishing a very tough task. I know how difficult it is to donate or throw away stuff having moved so many times. And I agree totally, there is always room for more designs. After all, they don't need to be dusted!
I sense you have mixed feelings about your stuff leaving you. It seems as soon as I get rid of something, that is the one thing I really need! Lol! Still I do like the clutter free look, just not sure if I will ever experience it myself.
I haven't even looked in my sewing room with the idea of tossing anything. But the storage building and the kids' old bedrooms were easy to purge. It was so silly to keep some of the stuff I had stuck down in a box or bag.
I think it is the best feeling ever getting rid of things we do not need. You will feel so much 'lighter'
I am not sure I understand,. Did you have a dumpster in your driveway?
We did. We had accumulated a lot of unwanted junk and this was the easiest way to get rid of it all. We had the dumpster for a little over two weeks. It has been wonderful just to toss junk away.
We have a hard rubbish collection on Monday 24th and the scavengers have already started taking things. We only have a little filing cabinet to put out, but you are right it's great to have s clean out. Luv Chris
Yes**i been doing my spring cleaning for a month now and oh the joy of more room hugs
