GOD IS SO GOOD! Cuties, I know I don't have to tell most of you that, you already know, but I have to sing praises to Him. This was a blessing that was needed and He knows our needs, right?

I hope you read the whole story and I'm sorry for the length, but you know me well enough by now, never short of words-lol-If I can just get these photos to load...

With having 4 kids, a job and husband Ashley has very little time for Facebook friends, online anything. Well Sunday afternoon she got on. umm...wonder what/who made her think to get on at this time?

She saw a posting, by someone she knew, for a used van for sale. She contacted the lady. She said no, it wasn't her van, but a van of an elderly lady whose husband had died. The van was an older van but well taken care of. In fact, a 2005 Toyota Seneca LE with 70 something thousand miles on it! The elderly lady had purchased the van, from the original owner ( a doctor we know), because her husband had Parkinson's. She didn't want to get rid of anything after her husband died so she kept the van for a year and a half.umm...wonder what/who made her think to sell it at this time.

After contacting the seller, whose family are Christians by the way, it came to be known that they knew my SIL's family, too.The lady was hoping that when she did sell it someone would benefit from the special seat it had.

You see the seat I'm in, in photo one? Ashley told me to get in, this is to be Avery's seat. I said in the front? Well, look. It's all the way down here in first photo. It lifts up and then swivels inside, all by remote control! This is so great for Ashley, especially and my husband with the bad back.

It was getting so hard for Ashley to climb up onto her running board on her SUV, lift Avery then step back down with her. Then do the same to load her in. Let's face it, we have a growing girl here-lol- (Ashley fell backwards off the running board when she was pregnant, but not with Avery.)The seat has a cover to protect the real seat and it needs replacing. All the seats even this one have no stains. The middle 2 seats and the full back seat looks like no one ever sat in them!

Anyway, I cried because I was so happy for them. This will help Avery, Ashley and Grayson or anyone loading her. Of course, that was when I saw the feature of the seat.

Then I saw the back of the van had the rack for the wheelchair, which Avery has but it looked different. They said they were leaving the rack on for them! The last 2 photos are the Toyota Seneca Le van, with the man's rack and the 2012 Ford Expedition with the wheelchair rack they just bought a few weeks ago. Ashley said they will be selling the Expedition. I know they hate to see it go. I sure liked the leather seats and rides so good on a long trip. Oh well, you make exceptions, (I didn't want to say sacrifices,as I do think this is better overall) for your child.

Then, if you can stand even more good news, they said they only had to give $7,000. for this equipped for Avery, 70,000 mile, 11 year old van! I cried again and made Ashley cry, too.

I'll tell you, if you haven't already believed it so, but God's timing is perfect. Ashley hadn't been online for awhile. The lady waited almost 2 years to sell it.The van came equipped to meet Avery's needs, at this time. He said, if we believe, accept Him as Lord and Savior and follow His ways, He will meet our needs.

Please be happy for our children and say a special prayer of thanksgiving, to the Wonderful Amazing Savior we all have.-Toogie

ps.#1 is seat all way down with Avery's Gram in it and Mom on remote

#2 Mom with seat all way up but still out

#3 is seat swinging inside-Cover needs to be replaced (but I think I can do that), ugly and torn

#4 Back of Toyota Seneca Le they bought with the wheelchair rack lady included. Unfortunately, it doesn't fold up like Avery's new one, so they will take the new one off the Expedition, to replace this one. SIL may use this one on his car, if needed. Sorry, for the blurry photos but just had to show you!
#5 is Avery's new rack, still on the Expedition, folded up
All photos were last night, as they bought it after Ashley got off work. See she is still in her scrub uniform. The lady's DIL is a notary so that helped with the time of sale. They didn't have to take off work to deal with this.....there goes that time again...Isn't His ways/ timing mysterious.

What wonderful news! Thanks for sharing this.
There is an old Irish blessing worded something like this:
"If God leads you down a stony path, may He give you strong shoes".
I believe He is doing this for your family. Prayers also for Him to continue to care for you and your family's needs.

Wonderful how life meshes need with reality. Now He has to find the family that needs the Expedition and is looking.

Yes, a big family,as that is one big vehicle. I remember when they got it how long it looked, I told her our bus wasn't much longer.-lol-

Oh Toogie, I am simply crying tears of joy and thanking and Praising our precious Lord. I have been on the receiving end and know how you feel. Words cannot express what you feel in your heart. We serve an Awesome God who knows what we are in need of even before we ask. Blessed be His name/Lillian

Amen Lillian, God is so good. I know they will eventually want a van that will take her in her wheelchair inside together, but this is all they can afford to drive right now,and will fit all the family. They loose 1 seat going from the SUV, to the Van, so I suppose my husband and I won't be riding with them when we have long trips. Usually, for Avery's planned hospital stays, to the Children's hospital its only me and Ashley that go and stay. Thankfully, those haven't been much lately. She is really doing well, putting on a little weight, maturing even. She is here with me now. She got off the bus here and just finished watching/listening to Cinderella.I took her picture, I should show how much she's grown. And she got her new chair in. So now she's really ridin' high, a new wheelchair to fit and a new to them Van. Go Avery!-lol

Listen, can you hear us? I am rejoicing and so is Avery. Her bus aide said, when they dropped her here, that she has been tickled all the way home. She generally is a happy child. Yes, we are glad.Thank you

Yes, He will and He does! Glory to His name, we are so thankful. Ashley is going this morning to do all the DMV and insurance payments. Now lets pray someone else needs the Expedition, it's such a long vehicle, but so comfortable. We went with them on a pretty long trip before they had Gus, but 4 grownups, Avery in her big seat, and Nora in a car seat and their son, all rode comfortable. Ashley said she is going to look into getting a 5 point harness installed in this van, for Avery so she won't have that huge car seat. It will hold both shoulders, both sides of her pelvis and between her legs, just like a car seat strap but without the seat, and will be anchored to the van floor. That's the next thing...and selling the other SUV.

Amen! and let them continue to flow for Avery's needs. Laura, I am so happy, I keep tearing up. Why do people cry when they are so happy...makes my nose stop up-lol-and I don't need that. Although like I said, it's an older model, they should still get a lot of mileage from it. And it looked so clean, I can't wait to see it in the daylight.

Oh Sandra, its been the other way around. Hubby has been a good caretaker for me and it gave/forced Ashley and Grayson a chance, to try to have someone else help, with Avery and not depend on us, so much. It has worked out well during this time.
I am so happy for them. Anything to help the caregivers, I am thankful. Avery goes everywhere with them, as do all the kids, so its really useful. Avery has a busier social life than me!-lol-she has always loved being around people and especially loves to hear the children play/laugh. She loves music. She is a sweet child and I hope her personality doesn't change, as she ages.Thank you for taking the time to read about this, for being happy for my family, and a good Cutie friend.-Toogie

It's my husband's back I'm so worried about, as well as the others. Hubby has 2 disc completely gone, injury about 13 years ago. The doctor hasn't wanted me to lift on her, so I don't, unless it comes absolutely necessary/no choice. But you are so right, we all benefit, not just our girl.
I agree with you too. The woman was led to this time. Time to let go and feel good, that she helped this family, by letting go. He (God) made her adjustment easier, by doing so.
Well, I am staying busy when one thing or another. I have a list (in my head-bad place to keep it I know-lol) of things I want to make or emb before my trip. Immediate things are making and emb Avery's bibs and emb Rylan's diaper bag. He is due in October, but shower in a few weeks. Oh, I need to post those photos they text me, of the baby bedding I made. My son and his wife bought the bed, it's their first grand-baby. My grandson and wife set up the baby's room with the things I made. I need to show you all.

Marian, we love it too. Now Ashley can unload the chair off the rack, wheel right up to the van where Avery has already been swung out and let down. It will make the transition from seat to chair so much better and not risk them both falling. SIL fell with Avery in the house a while back, cutting her head. She's ok now, though I know her head must have hurt, at the time.
