I drove the 'Silver Streak' my new Kia Rio car to Launceston yesterday to show my daughter & S-I-L. I am sure it is related to the old Kia Mentor which was named the 'Greyhound' as it just wanted to go. Maybe it is a cousin. Anyway it was a good trip and I came home in the dark so I had to try out the lights. I am starting to get used to it now. Hugs Shirley

My silly car runs with the lights on all the time. I think it is a total waste of energy. So glad you are enjoying your new ride.

Shirley, I have to tell you what I told my poor dear mother.
When I got the almost new car (had 12,000 miles) years ago I went to my mother's to show her. It was getting sundown and I didn't want to be dark getting home so I said I needed to go. Mom teased and said, "Well, didn't that new car come with head lights?" I replied with a very serious face, "Mom, you know I can't see good and I don't drive at night. The lights were optional, so I wasn't going to pay for something I wasn't gonna use!" She looked at me like I had lost my mind, then I burst out laughing. Then she did too! Glad your trip went well and you're getting the feel of it.-Toogie
