Perhaps you can change the order when you sew : (excuse for bad english) you can try to sew the front of body with front legs and front arms, then the back always body with back legs and back arms . you close these parts around, you stuff, and sew the head. you can also sew front with the face, then all parts of back around with a hole for stuffing you close at last time.
