Your tension need adjusting, but your machine may need servicing too, especially if it hasn't been serviced in over a year. BTW....if looping on bottom it's the upper tension. Hope this helps.
I don't have that machine but when mine was doing it..........I took mine in for repair.........told the guy I thought it was my tention and guess what it was. I have a Husky and have no idea why it did it. That could be your problem.........check it out.*4U
Try changing your bobbin, check your tension, try yet another needle, & different thread. I had a Bernina once but didn't know enough to be compatible with it so sold it. I have since learned a lot, & some of it here. Welcome to theis site. Someone will b along that will b more help to you than me, but I know all of the things I mentioned can make a difference. We're glad to have U @ Cutes *4U
Sorry I can't help you, but welcome to the 'Cute' family. *4U
Bobbi I don't have that machine but it sounds like you have gotten good advise. I did want to Welcome you to the Cute Family.Hope you visit often. Here ia a flower for you.
Bobbi, Nurselilly gave you good advise. I also have a 730 Bernina and I love it. Other points to consider ,did you use a 70 or 80 size needle, the smallest size hoop that would accommodate design and did you make any adjustments in the Motif Properties screen ( density adjustment etc)? If so, touch reset in left corner. I say all of this to cover bases. I think 90% of the time , the problem is in the stabilizer. If all else fails , call your dealer and if you take machine, be sure to take the project you were working on. Good luck, sweetie!!!
This is one of those do everything to your machine answers. Since we can't actually see what it has done, This is how I handle that type of problem. Turn off the machine. Unthread the machine. Make sure you haven't missed any steps in the threading process and that there is no fuzz or pieces of thread in your threading grooves. Take the bobbin out...All of it. Clean behind it. Use a flashlight to peek as far inside as you can. Change your needle. Be sure you have threaded the "finger" on the bobbin case. Try to think if you have changed anything? Thread, needle type, a design that you aren't sure is digitized perfectly...Try a test on a design that you KNOW sews perfectly. Hope these suggestions help.;)
Jerrilyn, she doesn't have a finger to thread on the 730, only a Little curly-cue wire. You are correct to advise to turn machine off and then back on. Sometime it corrects itself!!
Sorry Bobbi I can't help you, my machine is a brother SE270D. Maybe is the tension on the thread. I am guessing. But I want to say you Welcome to our Cute Community, I am sure you will receive a good answer. Flower and XoXo
I think this is a wonderful picture of us. Do U see studly there amongst us? I do. U r a hoot letvia & I love U
HI Bobbi, sorry im not familiar with that machine but when mine played up and it was new i (1) unthreaded everything took the bobbin case and assembly out ( looked in my book)and cleaned it all out (2) used a new wound bobbin and rethreaded everything again. I also floated a heavy tearaway under the hoop i keep a roll at the back of my machine and use enough to cover the design. i found i get better results. Try an iron on then hoop up a tearaway but i would still float the heavy under the hoop if a test one didnt give you the results you wanted. Maybe someone more experienced can help you more good luck :)* 4 u
