Hello everybody! I know I have been out of the crafty scenery for quite awhile. But currently I am on temporary disability. I will be out of work for 6 to 9 weeks. Just had surgery on the 13th. My last day of scheduled work was 4/21/16. I had 2 tendons repaired. Doctor said one of them was TOAST!

I hope the healing does not get in the way of enjoying some stitching! Best wishes for a complete recovery!

Hi Kerri, and welcome back to our group. I've had my right Achilles Tendon reattached, is this one of the tendons you've had repaired? Having 2 were they in both legs, or somewhere else? I pray that you heal quickly and will be back up to scratch really soon. Love Chris

Not back to crafting quite yet. I don't have the use of my right foot yet & I need to be able to stand to hoop my stabilizers.

Hoping your healing goes even better than had hoped and that you can manage to do some crafting while you are recovering. Just listen to your body and try not to over do things. Try to have a couple activities you like to do at each place you tend to be in the house. If you tend to be one that will over do things or forget to take your medicine, you may find a sunbean timer a great help, as you can set it to go off for as long as a 24 hour period or could reset it every 2 hours, so you could go into the sewing room and set the timer so you would know when it was time to go do something different to give the tendons a rest. Hoping you are able to come visit more and hopefully now be able to work on a favorite project you have been dreaming of having time to work on it. Good Luck and prayers for your tendons!
