I have a Brother PE-770 and I use Ped Basic and I can increase or decrease by a small amount using features from one or the other.

I too think that the dots have more flair than a solid colored fabric would have.

If I had used a solid colored fabric on the first one it may have been rather blah but the dots give it character even though it is all red.
