Wow, another super outfit for a small boy. you really outdo yourself all the time. love everything you do. thank you for sharing.
Oh you're so nice to say that, but I am pleased to hear you like my 'work'. Thank you for taking the time to look and comment-Toogie
I LOVE this. You are an exceptional seamstress for sure. I am going to have to take apart a baby pant thingy to see how they are stitched or go through Martha Pullen books again. Wished I'd paid more attention to her show on making the diaper bottoms. Still--whole ensemble is so cute.
A wonderful baby set, Toogie!! You are a most talented seamstress! I love the anchor theme! Great job, as always!!
Hugs, Angel
This is a wonderful set Toogie! Anchors away, from here on out smooth sailing with an outfit ensemble like this. PS a great story of the two newborns. ~hugs~
Lovely set for a little boy. He and the parents will be pleased.
It's so funny about these babies.
This is my friends 1st grand and my last.
We both found out the girls were pregnant, about the same time.
Then we both found out, they were due about 2 weeks apart, hers on the 18th & mine the 4th, although mine was to be taken a week early.
Then we both found out they were both boys!!!
Then we realized one of the names they were each considering, were the same name! (these girls have never met, as we live in different states,my daughter and her DIL)
I talked to my friend almost daily when it got close to the 18th, I was so excited for her!
The 18th passed and no baby.
Then my daughter goes into labor/water breaks and our baby is born on the 20th...hers came on the 21st!!!-what is the chance of all this happening to two friends families miles apart?!!-lol
Such a wonderful set for a little boy. He will be the best dressed 1st mate around. Well done.
Ha, ha-Nice phrase 'first mate'-Actually, they used to sail, but I didn't know this. It's just hard finding fabric suitable for a little boy, so when I came across this, I thought it would make up nicely. Thanks-Toogie
Toogie, the whole set is Adorable...and so perfect for a boy...I love it! What pattern did you use for the diaper cover?
Remember the green set? It was a set from my infant son (over 40 years old-lol) I ripped apart for the pattern, shirt and diaper cover.
I lined the cover with white, so that I could use the navy anchor fabric and make Gus one too. The only thing is I wish I had used white thread in the bobbin so she could reverse the bottom to an all white to wear with maybe something else. The reason I used the navy thread, top & bottom, I could see a dot of white thread, on the navy side stitching. I know, I'm too particular and it most likely wouldn't have been noticed especially after you run the elastic. Oh well, too late now so I may stitch Gus' with white.
Ooh! I love this Toogie, navy and white is always a great combination. Beautifully sewn and put together. Love Chris
Very smart looking set.
Looks like the type of outfit you would buy at a Trendy Posh baby store.
Well done. I am sure your friend will love it.
She did, but then she's such a dear, she would love anything made from the heart. Thank you-Toogie
