To me the optical illusion makes them look like hollow cubes. Love your apple fabric, even though you sound as if you are happy to be done with it. Nice job.

I used InsulBright and a layer of cotton batting. I finally used up all my apple fabric print.

I thought they were a set of dice!-lol-These are nice HOT PADS! I can see the apples now and I like the reds,too.

Don't tell my granddaughter they are dice--she'll start throwing them!!!! Finally rid of my apple fabric. I was stuck on hexagons for a while. I was trying to teach a sewing buddy how to cut 60 degree triangles, strip piece style.
