Just got that free pattern. Thank you--as always-how long it takes me who knows but I know I have it now. Love the glitzy fabric you chose for the fin. Will have to write that on my 'Heaven' shopping list. Yours is better than the website version. You have great ideas. Glad I know you and you'll send us to these new sites I never even knew existed.
It's nice to know you too, but I can't take credit for finding this one. Cutie tilde01 pointed me in this direction, so thanks to her, our grands will be warm and happy.
Oh my gracious, I wonder if my little 8 y/o GD would like this. It is adorable. Is the pattern and crown your pattern? Just seeing her laying on that couch looking like a princess mermaid makes me smile :-).
The pattern for the blanket/tail is at the link above and I just drew the crown. The child's has 5 points, doll just 3. I like to see anyone smile, makes them and you feel good. Thanks!
I forgot to say, sure, she will like one. All little girls wish they were mermaids at one time or another.
That is such a fun project and I am sure your little mermaid loves it a lot. Love the crown and hat accessories and of course the dolls mini version.
what a cutie, you are always coming up with some new ideas and projects. am sooo envious of your talent and creativity. :-) Hugs.
That's a sweet thing to say, but I just saw your potholders on the double ovens. Someone else is very creative, no two alike.Good job you did! Thanks for looking!-Toogie
toogie This is so cute! I have downloaded the pattern and tutorial and I will make this for my granddaughter when I get back to sewing! You did a fantastic job!

She is an adorable litlle mermaid. Really great sewing.
Lovely - your beautiful granddaughter and everything else too. This looks amazing, the mermaid style! And surely the other girl will get something too :-)
Thank you she loves the Little Mermaid! This pattern was intended for Avery. I wanted to make this one for her, but mom said no, as she overheats easily and this one is fleece. I thought of making one out of a cotton fabric, like a sheet weight, and leaving the back open to just cover her like a sheet. The only thing, cotton doesn't 'give' like the fleece does, when she moves her legs....we will see....
Adorable! My granddaughter's other grandmother knitted her one of these for Christmas.
Thanks Jerilyn, and I bet your granddaughter loved it as much as mine does! I wish I could knit. I had just started to learn years ago, and then we moved, from the one teaching me.
So cute. Better be off before my dd sees them and adds another project to my very long list!
What a gorgeous set Toogie, I'm not surprised both girls love them. Do you just slide in at the top and make-out that the tail belongs to their body? Well done and I love the colours and such a great buy when fabric is on sale. Love Chris
Yes Chris, that's exactly how its done. Yes I thought so to about the price being good. Twice a month Hancock Fabrics has Senior day on Wednesdays. I got hubby to bring me and I was in heaven again, for a little while-lol-I just made her dolly a cap to match out of scrap fabric leftover from this...How are you feeling?
Cutest post this year! I'm thinking lots more little girls will have something similar soon.
I can see why the liked these, great job and at a blowout price
hugs
Michelle
Toogie, I love it. Thanks so much for sharing. She will love it too.
Thank you for the heads up on this pattern. Everybody here loves them! I now have the top cuff/band sewed on. I left it long, so she would have room to kick around. I had enough of this iridescent overlay for the front, of the child's tail and enough for both sides, of the dolly's tail. I found this piece a long time ago, not buying much,as I didn't know what I would use it for. It sure made a difference here...
This is precious and her dolly has one too.
That doll was her moms when she was little. Nora won't keep clothes on her. Maybe she will let her wear the blanket/tails. I think she is easier for Nora to hold naked because she is a kind of heavy baby...kinda like Nora's Gram!-lol
