This is something I made Nora's mom, when she was young, and I just 'dug up' for Nora to play with. The pattern came with an iron-on patch, that I ironed on the end. I originally had a cardboard inserted in the bottom. I took it out, to wash the item and my hubby cut me a new bottom, out of some thin luan plywood, so it's not heavy. I didn't want to put the old cardboard back in, as I was afraid it would smell musty. Since storing, washing and drying, it doesn't stand up as well. I needed to know about stabilizers 33 years ago, that's how old this must be. I also made a little quilt to match, that is not shown (takes too long for me to upload), as baby has to have cover!-lol

Adorable and they never get old. My G. Son that lives in Ga. Just recently took his 6 yr old to where Cabbage Patch babies were born. She went home with one and loves it/Lillian

What a great experience she shared with her dad! She'll remember that always.

So cute. I went to a class where I learned how to make the dolls and sew on the hair, etc. I'm not sure where they've gone off to now, though. I only live about 2-3 hours from Babyland General where the Cabbage Patch kids are born, but have never gone there.....go figure.

I made a few myself but they came out much larger than the CP babies. You need to take g- daughters ( & wallet-lol) and go. They would enjoy that, I'm sure.

I made one of these for my daycare girls and granddaughter. It still on the shelf with a Daisy Kingdom doll and the matching dresses I made for them. Hope someday I will have a GGD who will enjoy it.

Still Beautiful. I made these for my girls' cabbage patch dolls and a few years ago dug out pattern and made new ones for grand daughters. Due to loving play and many moves the original ones were long gone.

We haven't moved, so I had this in the storage shed. Ashley played with hers, but she 'tended' to them really well. Now her sisters on the other hand could have stayed in the box/packaging. She never played much with dolls. Marsha was happy with a chalkboard and Ashley and her dolls for 'students'-lol

She plays more, right now, with the newborn baby that was in it and the blanket. She's just two and its a little too cumbersome for her to actually carry, she's so little. As she grows, she'll play more with the carrier.

She does, but she really likes the baby that was still in it. I newborn with an umbilical cord that hasn't fell off (lol) yet, and a tiny 'rash' on her bum.

My kids sold stuff for a fund raiser at school one time. I can't remember the product and would have to go out and look in storage shed, but the products came in a 'cardboard suitcase'. Pretty good size one, too. Anyway, it is filled to overflow with Barbie clothes, my mother and I, made. Those will be used in time, but she's too young to dress and undress dolls. I spend enough time dressing the real ones, when they are here-lol- without having to stop and dress the dolls for her. The newborn that was in this carrier had a complete set I made, dress, diaper cover, cross-stitched by hand bib, and a bonnet. Nora stripped her, likes her naked.-lol-I think its because the doll is easier to handle, 'cause she is kinda heavy.

Wait until she makes you take them to potty! And no, not when the actual child needs to go.
