Ouch! hoping not to go there any time soon. Hope it feels better real quick.
Not me [yet], but you have many friends in your painful little club !
I joined the club when I was 11 years old LOL 6:30 am, I woke my poor mother up holding a pair of pliers and asked her to remove it, she was not amused!! I don't remember it hurting much, am I weird. Take care all and try NOT to join the club.
Oh! yes, i am in this club, but mind only the once.. That was enough, very painful indeed, hope it will soon be well again. Sandra.
Ouch & Ouch again, so sorry that you have an awful ouchie Laura I'm guessing it will hurt for a time too I am cringing just thinking about it. I hope that it feels better sooner rather then later . ~hugs~
It is better, Loralye - just kinda sore. I hope it never happens again!! Hugs right back - for your Birthday!!
Ouch! Yes I did this some years ago. I am always carful now. Hugs
Laura,I use a stilleto,or wooden skewer a lot when sewing or embroidering. They have little pointed ends and if you use them instead of fingers this won't happen so easily.
Oh yes but it's been a long time now and hope it won't be again NY time soon. It hurts awful!/Lillian
Yes I have done that also. It hurts like crazy. I also sliced my finger with the rotary cutter. That was no fun either. Hope your finger quits throbbing soon.
Oh, my the rotary cutter sounds awful!! My finger does feel a little better!! Thanks!
I've come very close to doing this and I hope that is as close I ever get to stitching myself together. My heart goes out to you because I know it has to hurt a lot. Be careful of infection and enjoy some ice cream. I think Ice cream helps anytime.
Ice cream - now, I do believe that is the answer - yes, I would feel better with some ice cream!! (do be more careful than I was!!)
yep about 5 times now:(:(yes it hurts like crazy:(:(hugs
No but the rotary cutter got me pretty good. I was initiated into the club when I was just 5 years old with a needle through the toe, so I have stayed clear of the needle in the finger thing.
I think the admission into the club is more than I want to pay, so I don't want to join, thank you anyway...I did once stick/jam a crochet hook into my palm. Those tiny hooks that you use for cotton threads....ever try to pull a hook out? it hangs...I learned then to pre-punch my holes with an awl, then crochet into the hole. Not try to punch it with the hook. I was crocheting edging to a baby blanket. Blanket was out of plisse'.
Oh my that could not have felt very good!! I imagine you saw more blood than I did!! Sorry!
Laura this is a club I never want to join. Hope the hurt does not last too long. Hugs Marg
Oh, Marg, that is a club I had hoped to never join either - you won't though, if you are more careful than I was!! Thanks, Laura*
Welcome to the club! Hope the hurting stops sooner than you think!
Yes many years ago and then in the autumn too. Someone insisted that I should have a anti tetanus booster jab when it happened the first time So I did and I reacted so much that I could not get downstairs or to work for 2 days. I hope you don't have this problem. Yup it hurts
Yes right through the nail, It hurt like hell at the time.
I was lucky - just to the side of the nail!! Totally do not want to do that!!!
Not yet and I hope I never will. I am allergic to pain.
Oh, yes, and I still stick my fingers right up at the needle. Hard-headed me.
Fun - huh!! I didn't think it would ever happen to me - so, I guess it could happen again!!
ouch , that must have been painful. I didn't join the club yet......here 's a flower for you
Only once and that was enough for me. I was alone at the time and only 19, used hand wheel to back needle out. It only throbbed for a couple of days. Hope yours stops hurting soon.
Oh, my - so young - I bet tears came to your eyes!!! It is better with every passing hour!! I am typing without using it and making mistakes twice in every word!
Yikes...glad you are okay...I hate to admit it, but I have done it...just once while I was embroidering...still can't figure out just how it happened...I was lucky that the needle went straight through and didn't break...pheeew...but it did go through my fingernail...fortunately, all turned out well...
Needle went straight through and broke - which in a way was good as I got my finger back quicker! I would totally freak out if it went through my nail!! Happy yours turned out fine!! I think the idea upset my DH more than anything!!
That's one thing I haven't done yet. Oh my, it must throb.
More than once. Hurts like heck. But it does get better.
Ouch... No I am happy to say that it has never happened to me.
Be careful - I always thought I was being so careful!! Happened so quickly!!
Thanks for the reminder. I will slow down at the machine and I will reinstate my precaution rules! Keep your hurtie clean! Quick healing.
Thank you - my DH put medicine on it and a big bandaide. I knew better - Now I will be so much more careful in the future!!
