I have a problem with my computer and need help desperately. I have a laptop with windows 8.1. I have some vision issues and was looking Ease of Access under settings. One of the options offered to have them help make the settings by asking questions ex which of the following is easier for you to read, etc I answered the 8 or so questions, but when it applied the changes it has made a terrible mess. For example the Pinterest Red button disappeared -it is no longer red, but is still active in the upper left corner of a picture when you mouse over the area, outlining like on the top of each of the cute sites, does not line up correctly and overlaps wording making it more difficult to read and on my yahoo group sites all the photos do not show until you click each space a picture should be. There are also other color issues that make it difficult to figure out where to click when trying to check out from certain sites. I can reset colors and have had a small amount of improvement with some changes but usually a color working for some sites, is not working for others and unfortunately I can not remember what colors things had been, but I am hoping someone knows how to delete or turn the Ease of access, back off or exactly what to change each setting back to, so I can undo this change. This has been way more difficult than just dealing with my issues to begin with. Hoping I do not need to do a full reset of factory settings. With my memory issues I would not even be able to tell someone what each screen color had been prior to the changes. I just know it was readable and functioned even if I had focus issues and crispness in lettering that I was dealing with I could still make things out, if I gave my eyes extra time or changed to font size by pressing "Ctrl + " as I needed. Now it is extremely frustrating. I appreciate anyone trying to help. Pam

Rescuer to the rescue once again!! The link did work, and between a few of the video clips listed, I was able to get everything back functioning once again. I am so very grateful, it is such a big relief! Thank You all. I was dreading having to do a restore as I would have lost my most current information. I now need to address backing up my files on a more regular basis. We work too hard at gathering these designs, I really do not want to chance loosing any files. Now that I can actually SEE everything on each screen, instead of hovering my mouse and watching for changes to determine where it was that I needed to be clicking- Ugh it was terrible! I will also now be able to address the thousands of emails that have backed up in the last few weeks while I have been dealing with this. I am so VERY relieved! Thanks Again everyone for your help and advice and may flowers rain down on Rescuer for all she does to help us with our various computer issues. ((Hugs)) Pam

I am so glad you were able to fix it.
Cuties, use the special magnifier if you need a close up of the area. It won't mess up your other settings.

Search for YouTube "Setting accessibility options in Windows 8.1"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w... (if it works)

This will help you step-by-step including other options.

I WOULD DO A SYSTEM RESTORE AS OTHERS HAVE SUGGESTED. I HAD TO DO THIS RECENTLY MYSELF. IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT HAND CORNER OF YOUR SCREEN YOU CAN INCREASE THE SIZE OF PRINT BY ENLARGING WITH THE PERCENTAGE BUTTON (BUT I GUESS THAT YOU MAY ALREADY KNOW THIS). HUGS MARG

I'm so sorry. Other than what has been suggested is all that I would know to do.

So sorry to hear this...the only thing that I can suggest is to System Restore to a previous date...do a search for System Restore and pick a previous date...that should restore your settings to what they were before you changed them...or perhaps Rescuer will see this and give you some other alternatives...

IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY BACKED UP YOUR COMPUTER (SYSTEM) YOU CAN DO A SYSTEM RESTORE AND THAT SHOULD PUT EVERYTHING BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS BEFORE. HOPE THIS HELPS.
