Haven't got a number of squares in mind. Just send, and if any left over, one more child gets a quilt. Tell Alicia to look after my machine. I have hold of a citrus marbles Jelly roll (Moda) to use in between blocks. Everyone let me know what you think of this.

LOVE the citrus marbles! If you need me to, I can send you some backing or $ to help with the batting, thread, etc.;)

Hello Maggie, thanks for the re-boot of the quilt and the email to ask how it is going. I have been flat out at work lately due to staff shortages and have not been internetting much lately and doing as much as I can of hubby's quilt for couch potato comfort while I can. You have it right, 8x8 inch squares, pre-washed cotton, any desing you like, maybe if you are able, embroider you name and location/country on it. I am doing one for a boy and a girl about 10-13 years of age for donation to ronald Mcdonald house in Brisbane. It is where children and their families undergoing medical treatment and have up to a few thousand kilometres to travel to get to treatment and be away from home have somewhere to stay while kids are at hospital. clawton, minnie, jrob and mops have all sent them to me. If you need more info my email is in my profile. Cheers, to you all. Lib

Alicia's first square she has been playing on my machine but had to go back to bed she is so sick ,she said she will try making more later. I think she did well to get this done.
she did it 9inch x 9inch as she thought it was better if you cut it down she might do boo boo

I don't wish to speak out of turn here but a little birdy told me Libby needs many more squares than she has received so far... the number of people who have sent squares is less than 4!!! Please Cuties stand up and be counted for this worthy cause, if I knew what/how to make them I would gladly contribute myself but I have no idea about what is required, can't be THAT difficult?! Well, i'm looking in at a quilting contest tomorrow night so I may get some instruction there so I can contribute too. Back to my machine now, I have to finish a (long overdue) project for the morning. hugs n roses to all and good night for now. M

4OK for those who are interested in doing a block, lets make it 8x8 inches square, pre-washed to prevent post quilt sew up shrinkage, how about 100% cotton. Good idea Ruthie, more room to play with for a good design and less stitching together so they can get done quick. I don't think a theme is important (but if anyone thinks otherwise, let me know) as the idea is something from all over the world for someone in need. We are a diverse bunch by nature of location, sewing machine brand and thread choice and in this case, what design/imagination we have to offer. Once again I am happy to give my address and stitch a couple of quilts, but if anyone else wants to put their hand up and do some stitching, especially in another country (I am in Australia) so we can really spread our love and efforts around the world.
