What did you end up doing? a new shirt or did the patch work?
I think it would be more than fair if they provide you with a new blank
T-shirt free of charge (of course) and you could be generous and say
you stitch the logo again without any costs. It was not your fault that they gave you a wrongly spelled name. Once I tried to unpick stitches but it ended up with holes in the fabric and drove me crazy -
Good luck for you! It's a pity that good will often is not honoured but may
end up in additional work and trouble - Maria
Enough to drive you insane. I have unpicked on t shirt and had to cover it up with a patch. For me I think the easiest is to buy a new t shirt if that is possible. Let us know.
Good customer PR would be to do a new one, even if it's their fault. If it was done free of chg, I'd probably put an applique over it with the new name! But I always tell people to write down the spelling, then give them the piece of paper back with their item. No question.
I ask them to email the list, that way I don't have to try to read their handwriting. ;)
It wasn't her handwriting as I was sitting next to her as she wrote. The annoying thing was I had written it correctly and half way through sewing out stopped to check to see it was spelled differently - which was incorrect !******
I think the only way is a new shirt. I have tried to pick out just a few stitches from a knit T-shirt and it always makes a hole. Hugs. Nan W
I'd do the same thing as Martine has suggested and do an applique over it. Trying to get the design back in the hoop and restitching one letter would be very difficult! Love Chris
Thanks for replying Chris. I cant even think about attempting to re hoop and as for getting the same fabric I think its impossible
Oh bother, don't you hate that! Could you use an appliqué with the correct name over the old one? Much easier than picking out the incorrect one from knit fabric - unless it's just one letter you have to correct.
Currently I feel that me buying a new t shirt is the easiest option as I don't have any of the fabric that the tops are made from. Thanks for replying
