Nora is becoming a beautiful little lady, the shoes and dress are perfect I agree with the Mayor all you things are very professional looking.. Glad you had success at the festival. marian
I am glad I went too and thanks for your commenting and looking at our little one.
Nora is lovely, trop mignone cette petite Nora, pleins de bisous.
Nora is very pretty and her out fit is stunning , I am glad you did well selling it makes it worth while.
Hugs Pam
Yes, I've only did this a few times, and my money usually goes right back into my supplies. It is nice to know people like what you made. Thanks about Nora-Toogie
Nora is so adorable and looks so cute in the outfit you made her Toogie :) its perfect....and thanks for sharing the beautiful pics with us!
Very sweet on her - she's really growing tall and look at that long hair! The baby is almost gone!
Oh, don't say that, babies are so much fun.(just kidding you)-Her dad is 6'4" and his parents are both about 6 ' but I hope she doesn't get that tall! Her hair is growing and hopefully, she will have body like her mom. Seems once those baby curls are cut, they don't usually come back.
Such a brave wee soul to face those geese or ducks whatever they are I would run!!!
These are not bad, really tame. The green headed ones are the mallard drakes (males) and so much prettier than the female. I find the males are always pettier in the species.....except humans-lol
You can see the spit fire in her eyes as she was looking at the camera as she was standing on your table! what a gem she is! I think the quality of your work looks magnificent way better than store bought! So glad you decided to go ahead a set up a booth and so very glad you had good sales and positive compliments. You deserve the positive remarks! Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos! Pam
Nora looks gorgeous the dress is a perfect fit ,so glad to hear you did well at the spring festival ....linda
Nora is gorgeous and so is the dress. I love your garden, looks just like any normal one. So nice to see it so green too. I love your day lilies, I don't grow them but always look forward to seeing them bloom. I hope your daughter and son in law's move to their new home goes smoothly. I know what you mean about enthusiastic children - I can't have ours 2 days in a row it kills my back! Keep up the great work and sewing. Love Chris
Chris reading about the back...Grayson came in to get Nora the other day and she started walking kind of crooked and reaching behind her. She was talking all the while (the child is a complete chatterbox). I told him she is saying, "Oh my back!" (She is not potty trained yet, but he said she looked like she was cleaning herself!-lol) -He said it was good I told him what she was doing. I told her "Oh my back hurts today, I can't pick you up." Since I said that she went around doing that. I would sit and she would crawl in my lap, so I did hold her, but I told him I did not walk and do like she did!-lol
Whats not to like - she looks so sweet and the outfit fits her to a tee. Love it :)
Oh, Toogie - she is simply adorable. Your outfit is perfect!! What a dumpling she is - you just want to hug her!! Hugs to you, Laura*
That's what I do when I have her, just hug! She went to church with me yesterday and when it got naptime, we realized 'tag' was forgotten at church. We live about 2 miles away, so I called my friend. Her husband has a key and I asked if I picked her up could we go over and get it. She said no because she was going to bring it to her. Nora wouldn't nap without it. I am very surprised she forgot it, but she was playing with the toys in the nursery.
She is darling - nothing like a granddaughter to sew for. Mine was a grandson - just turned 20 - has his EMT(Emergency Medical) and is going for firefighter. He is the sweetest young man and I love him to death. Are those your geese or do you get visitors like we do?
These are actually my neighbors' young sons' ducks. My husband put feed, in our bird feeders, and he said he believes the ducks can smell it a mile away. They come for the spill over and eat what is on the ground. Year before last, one of the hens laid a nest of about 8 eggs in my daylily bed, the one with the pump. My husband said an opossum must have eaten them, as something got the eggs. Chicken snakes will do it too, but we don't usually have a problem with snakes...I only had one g-daughter for a long time and 5 grandsons before I got more. I used to smock the oldest g-daughter dresses. When she was about 6, I made her a smocked bishop, for Easter. She told me then, she had enough dresses!-lol
Your story on grand daughters and dresses reminded me of a conversation this afternoon when I admired a beautiful hand knitted cardigan. The owner age 6 said she hated it. Her grandmother had knitted it
What a beauty she is - and the outfit and shoes are just adorable too.
Oh, Toogie...she is darling!! She looks so smart in her outfit and matching shoes...adorable...just adorable!
Thank you Kim, she keeps me on my toes, as she never slows down. I can't keep her two days straight, no recovery time..... for me-lol
Oh, what a darling. You are so lucky to have her and this "tiny little"
garden :-) Enjoy - I think children and grand children are the fruits
and harvest of a life-time. I love the adorable dress and shoes you did
Maria
I am thankful to have her, she is such a blessing! She gives us so much joy...I hope she always will...I don't have the flowers, this year, like I usually do. Not able to keep all the weeding done myself and this was always part of my enjoyment. Tending to it yourself. My daylillies are about to bloom, in photo 2 & 5 around the old hand pump. Glad you like her outfit, she did too.-Toogie
She is so adorable! Her outfit is special and of course another grandma that can't sew would like one just like it! I love your yard, got a guesthouse? Is it humid there? I am kidding, I am not really up for travel.
No guesthouse, but we do have an extra bedroom.-Thanks for looking at my sweetheart.
Toogie, she is so precious and cute!! I love her outfit, especially with the matching shoes!! You did a great job!
Hugs, Angel
Thank you....that she is! Precious! AND very active...wish some of that energy could seep into me! She felled down my front porch steps, or I should say she rolled down them yesterday. She looked like a ball with spikes, her arms and legs were flying. These pictures of the ducks and her were after the fall, so she is alright, but scared both of us and her head and face was red for awhile. She's tough but sweet as she looks. She will go up to Avery, when Avery's sick, and asked her, "you alright Sissy?" and pat Avery.
Sounds like you had a great day and what a compliment to your work. You have inspired me to try a purse.
Go for it Bev, but I'm surprised you haven't made one already! It does give one a sense of worth, when someone appreciates your work.
So glad you did good Toogie! I have no doubt that your items look professional from what you have shown.
Thank you, I didn't want to sound vain or bragging, but it does make you feel good when someone appreciates your work. The Mayor went on to say that a some of the booths have items people made, but that mine didn't look homemade. I believe she was serious and not just saying, especially after she bought.
Yes, I think your Mayor is right. You are doing exquisite
and excellent work and have such a cute model.
Thanks , she is a little doll and I want to make her more, but this week I plan to do some deep cleaning...but plans can be changed- lol
